You woke up early, even though you didn't feel like you had a moment of shut eye. All through the night your body continuously woke you up, body to anxious about the situation to think about anything other than the events yesterday. You weren't allowed to meet Neteyam anymore and your brother was supposed to be betrothed to you before your adoption. How were you supposed to function in your own home after learning this new piece of information. The sun hadn't even come up yet and these thoughts were making you squirm, the idea that in the future you were supposed to be the Tsahik of the tribe and not just a sister to the future Olo'ektan.
You breathed out a sigh from your nose, standing from your sleeping family and exited the dark hut. You wrapped your arms around yourself as you began to walk down the roped bridgeway, head down as your eyes peered through the small holes below you. You were aware that later today you would have to go with Ao'nung and make him tell his friends he was lying, but getting rest would be fruitless. Everytime you moved your head up you hoped to see Neteyam standing in front of you, being there for you while you explain to him everything that happened after he left. You knew he would eat up the information you have on you..
"(Y/n)?" A feminine voice whispered, you turning towards your sister. She gently laid her hand on your shoulder, pulling you towards her chest. You wrapped your arms around your sisters neck, pulling her closer as you continuing to try and calm yourself with slow breaths.
"I am alright, Tsireya.. Um, I have something to ask you.." you breathed out, leaning back as you looked into her aqua colored eyes. She nodded to you as you nibbled over your lip, running a hand through your braided hair.
"Did you know that.. that I was arranged with Ao'nung?" You asked, Tsirey's eyebrows furrowing in a concerned way. She took a moment until she nodded slowly, your lips pressed tight together.
"I didn't see it as important after you were adopted into our family (Y/n).." Tsireya began, taking your hands into her own, "Did Ao'nung tell you this?" She asked.
"He did.. He also gave a hint he's still confused about his feelings." You scoffed in a embarrassed way, shaking your head as you looked back down. Tsireya pulled you back into another hug, rubbing your back supportingly.
"I am sorry (Y/n).. In time things will be better." She explained, you sighing.
"I can't even spend time with Neteyam anymore because of father's rules.." you groaned, Tsireya giggling at your words.
"You know you will find time to see him anyways. You are sneaky (Y/n), you always find a way." She smiled, you wearing a grin on your lips as well.
"Well.. We'll see about that. I want to see him already." You groaned, Tsireya nodding her head.
"With time, sister."
"With time." You mocked, the girl holding your hand as she began to lead you back into the hut to sleep. The conversation helped you a little bit, but it didn't help the fact you still wanted to see Neteyam so bad you were itching for it.

"(Y/n), do i really have to do this?" Ao'nung whined, head down as you held his arm and dragged him to his friends. All morning the boy had been moaning and groaning about having to tell his friends he was lying to them, continuously beating around the bush with you about when his friends were free or not.
"If you cared about me you would do this." You sighed, Ao'nung grumbling as he nodded his head.
Rotxo and the others began to notice the two of you in the middle of their conversations, the boys lifting up their head in confusion. The silence was loud once you and Ao'nung stood before them, Ao'nung's eyes flickering between them and the ground. You then suddenly nudged the boy, a serious look on your face as he finally raised his head up and looked up to his friends.
