You slowly opened your eyes to the sound of pattering water and croaks from creatures in the forest. You lifted your body slowly up, Neteyam's hands slowly slipping off of you and to the ground. You loved how he looked when he slept, his soft eyelashes more noticeable, his face relaxed, and the twitches of his brows from his dreaming. You sighed out a soft breath as you stood, stretching out. The darkness has stil taken over the land, the bright luminescence glittering throughout the water. Ronal loved early mornings like these too.

You blinked that thought from your mind, eyebrows furrowed. How could she kicked you out? You knew she had a mean streak but how raged could she have been to do this to you? She had never been like this to you before, nor do you remember her mad at you.. Ever? You had always followed the rules, done as they asked, and tried to be a good daughter.

'But it was never enough to them..' you thought, sitting down against the edge of the bridge. You pulled your knees to your chest and placed your forehead against them, holding your arms around your body. Ronal before this point had actually been more kind than you could as for, the woman always bringing you on trips, talking to you as a daughter.. you knew Tonowari would never do this to you and was against it, Tsireya and Ao'nung as well. You hoped they talked to her about last night and persuaded her to 'forgive' you. Whatever that meant.

You felt a hand lay against your shoulder, their body sitting close next to you. You lifted your head, noticing Neytiri sit close next to you. She rubbed her hand gently up and down your spine, noticing the look on your face.

"What is wrong, sweet girl?" She asked, tilting her head down to you. You sighed with a soft shrug as you thought, eyes looking up to the planet above.

"My adoptive mother.. I don't know why she kicked me out.. Well, I understand that she wanted me to be mated with her son and become Tsahìk but I don't understand why she had to move me out. Neteyam is kind, and has proved to be so.." you said, turning your head towards the woman. She nodded to your words, lips pressed close together. She took a breath as she placed her hand on your other shoulder, pulling you against her side comfortingly.

"I've been in a moment like this before.. I was set to be mated with another of my tribe, but then I met Jake.." she hummed, your brows lifting to this news.

"Neteyam told me he came from a star." You stated, Neytiri nodding her head.

"He did.. And we mated, had much push back, but we are here now. I have 4 children, a loving mate, and a place to call home.. In the future, this will be a blip of time that would not matter anymore to you. You will have Neteyam, you will have a home, and you may have more." She explained, you slowly nodding your head.

"I understand.. It's just hard to deal with this as it is now. I want her to take me back in and to care.."

"I think she cares," Neytiri started, you tilting your head to her words, "She cares so much that this happened. She may feel betrayed herself, (Y/n).. You picked Neteyam over responsibility, and to a Tsahìk that is something very important." She ended, you lips pressed tight together still as you looked to the water now.

"I hope they talked to her about it and that she didn't shut them down immediately.." you mumbled, Neytiri patting your back once more.

"Come to bed, (Y/n). You should be resting." She commented, lifting from the bridge next to you. You shook your head, the woman taking a breath.

"Soon." You stated, Neytiri then walked back into her hut.

You then slowly lifted yourself from the bridge, peeking at your hut aways. You then began the walk that way, thoughts going through your mind as you tried to decide what to say. Would you say sorry or explode on her like she did you? You felt your heart pick up the pace thinking about another argument happening, so this option was defiantly not the one. Either way your heart was beating quickly though, walking into the hut making the beat ring to your ears.
