You gasped and sat up quickly, eyes searching around the empty hut. You held your head in your hand, noticing the clean wrap around your stomach and machines hooked up around you. Multiple IV's were stuck into your skin, your eyebrows furrowing as you pulled them off of you quickly. You raised yourself up slowly, a ping of pain running through your legs. Luckily this didn't pull you down, but instead make you want to walk out of the hut even more. How long have you been asleep? Days? It didn't feel that long ago you were begging Eywa for another change with your mate-
Neteyam.
You moved faster now at the thought of him, holding at your side as you stepped onto the bridge. You never felt uneven on your legs your whole life, the bounciness of the walkway making you sick. You stepped onto it, using palm trees next to you to help you walk. You widened your eyes when you looked out to the water, seeing the darker blue kids swimming around. Luckily no one looked too different, it hadn't been enough time for that. You opened your mouth to yell, your voice breaking as you did so. You groaned, continuing to walk down the bridge. You couldn't get into the water so you instead walked to the Sully's home, slowly peering your head inside. You smiled when you noticed your parents sitting with Neteyam's, the group talking and sharing a meal.
"Mother, father?" You questioned in a broken tone, both of them flashing their heads your way.
"(Y/n)!" Ronal cried, standing from her spot and quickly took you in your arms. You hugged her back immediately, feeling Tonowari's hands circle the both of you. You stood like this for a bit before you looked down, noticing her stomach had flattened. You furrowed your eyebrows in confusion, looking back up to your adoptive mother.
"He has been born. Tekitì is his name." She spoke, a tear escaping from her eye. You then looked into the hut, noticing Neytiri holding the baby. A smile appeared on your lips, Tonowari helping you walk into the hut.
"Baby brother.." You breathed out, taking the child into your arms as you looked over him. He was smaller than usual, so you guessed the baby had came early from stress of the war.
"How.. How long was I out?" You asked, Ronal's lips pressed together tightly.
"Three weeks, dear." Tonowari answered, you nodding your head slowly. You then looked up to Jake and Neytiri, the woman smiling and almost had tears growing in her own eyes.
"Is neteyam okay?" You questioned. The mother nodded her head, a relieved breath escaping your lips.
"Good.. I need to see him." You stated, Tonowari nodding his head to you.
You then handed your young brother back to Neytiri to look at, Ronal helping you stand and walk back out to the bridge. You continued to hold at your side as you stood on the edge, toes gripping the branched edges to keep still. Tonowari then raised his arms, yelling out a call to the younger people playing on Ilu in the water. They looked towards you, all them letting out loud excited yells to seeing you stand. You waved your arm to them, the group of 6 jumping onto the bridge.
"(Y/n)!"
"Ma sister, you are okay!"
"I missed you!"
They all talked over each other, Tuk hugging you by the hip as Tsireya was first to hug you around your torso. The others then hugged around you, placing their hands on your shoulder and back in a comforting way. You felt tears come to your eyes from their happiness, Tsireya soon leaning back to look over your face.
"My beautiful sister, I am so happy to see you.." she spoke, covering her mouth as she held back tears. You cupped her face and leaned your nose bridge against hers, a sigh releasing from your lips.
"I am so happy I'm awake.." you breathed out, leaning back to hug Ao'nung who stood close by you.
"You've healed, my sister.. I missed you." He said, you smiling to his words.
"Me?" You questioned, the boy rolling his eyes as he let go of your hug gently. Kiri was then able press her forehead against yours as well, a smile growing onto her lips.
"Eywa has given you mercy.. I am so happy she did, (Y/n).." she smiled, you nodding your head. You couldn't have made it through with out Eywa.
Lo'ak then gave you a hug as well, patting his hand against your back.
"We don't know where Neteyam is.. He's been distracted these days." Lo'ak commented, you nodding your head. It didn't take you long to look up to the tall rock close to the home, a smile on your lips.
"I know where he is." You smiled, Tuk soon releasing you from her clinginess.

You ignored the pain in yourself as you got off the bridge and sprinted towards the rock, your family concerned for your safety but knew that you needed to see your mate. It probably had been killing both of you to not be by each other, not interact for so long.
You grunted as you raised yourself onto the rock, eyes looking up to the tall boy that sat at the end. His hair moved to the wind, gentle clunks of beads creating a tune. He didn't even notice you had came behind him because he was so put on staring out into the water, you soon lifting yourself completely up. You widened your eyes when you looked down and noticed you and Neteyam's initials carved in to the stone, a soft smile raising to your lips.
"(Y/n)?" His voice questioned, your eyes raising from the ground to the boy who stared at you wide eyed. He let out a breath before he stood up quickly and ran towards you, pulling you tight against his chest. You felt his body begin to convulse to his crying, your arms wrapping around his neck.
"Ma (Y/n).. My girl, My (Y/n), I missed you so much.. You're awake, you woke up.." he breathed out, lips pressed against your neck as he spoke. Tears began to spill from your eyes as well, hands gripping tighter to the back of his head and shoulder. You needed more of him, these weeks separated by your comatose state being too long to bear now that you have been mated.
"I am here Neteyam.. I love you.." you commented, your mate moving his head back to look over your face.
"I love you too, my (Y/n).." he breathed out, reaching one of his hands up to cup your cheek.
He took a breath, his eyes fluttering shut as he leaned down to you. You copied his movements, leaning up into the kiss. Your knees almost fell from how stimulating the kiss was with your mate, his other hand slowly rubbing up and down your spine. It felt like forever before you ran out of breath and had to lean back, your eyes slowly opening to Neteyam's burnt auburn ones. You reached up and gently moved a few of his braids behind your mate's ear, then moved your hand to cup the side of his face. You couldn't imagine another moment without him, your body completely glued to Netayam's now.
"I see you.." he breathed out, pressing his forehead against yours lovingly as he took in your sight.
"I see you.." you spoke back, swaying slowly on top of the tall rock with your mate. Every thing in your body told you this was right, Neteyam's tail slowly wrapping around your thigh to keep you close to his body. You weren't sure what would happen in the future, but you knew through whatever trial and tribulation you would always have Neteyam. Whether asleep or awake he was yours and you are his, your love for each other lasting for life.
Eywa had brought you more than a friend. She brought you a lover, a caregiver, and a life long mate. You deserved someone like Neteyam in your life after dealing with much you that you shouldn't have. Eywa was rewarding you, and there couldn't be a better prise than this one. Your Neteyam.
