"Where is he going? When is he coming back?" Katherine rolled her eyes. She was still stuck in the apartment with Rosalie who just couldn't keep quiet.
"Hopefully never." She muttered and rummaged through the fridge. Finally she found what she was looking for. A blood bag. She pulled it out and squeezed it into Damons mouth, hoping it would wake him up. Rosalie was watching curiously. So he wasn't dead at all?
"What the hell happened?" he muttered and Rosalie stared with big eyes at the man, who had been killed just an hour prior. She was sure that Niklaus had broken his neck, how could he survive that?
"He's gone, he went to the ritual. I'm sorry, I had to. He would have known that I was on vervain if I didn't do it." Katherine explained, helping the disoriented man up. "Klaus made me call her to lure her out. He needed another vampire.
"Who did you call?" Damon muttered still seeming dazed.
"Jenna." Katherine whispered, just loud enough so Rosalie could hear it.
"What?" Damon stumbled a few steps away from Katherine "Why didn't he use me?"
"He couldn't!" Katherine exclaimed. "Damon, he said you were as good as dead."
"What does that even mean?" Damon turned around walking towards the door.
"What does that mean?" Rosalie only saw a blur and suddenly Katherine was standing in front of Damon again, pulling his jacket sleeve up and revealed a festering sore. "Damon, what is this?"
Damon sacked down on one of the barstools. "A werewolf bite."
"Is that dangerous?" Rosalie asked quietly, both heads turned around to her. They probably had forgotten that she was here at all.
"A werewolf bite is lethal to vampires." Katherine explained and examined the wound, "So that's what a werewolf bite looks like. It doesn't look to bad."
"Oh, it will be." Damon stood up and pulled his sleeve back down.
"So are you gonna die? Like for real?" Rosalie asked worriedly.
"Depends. Have you heard of a cure?" Katherine shook her head. "Me neither."
Damon started walking out the apartment, when Katherine called, "150 years and I don't even get a goodbye?"
Damon glanced over his shoulder, "You don't get a goodbye."
Within a flash, Katherine was standing next to him, holding him back. "Don't leave mad."
"Us ending on good terms isn't exactly on my bucket list." He tried to rush past her, but she blocked his way.
"Klaus made me call Jenna. There was nothing I could do. I didn't have a choice." Katherine defended herself.
"That's why I gave you the vervain. So you could have a choice."
"It was her or me. I chose her." Katherine said.
"I helped you, you owed me. No when Klaus dies you get to waltz out this door without a scratch, while Elena's aunt dies. Somehow you're the only one that wins. How'd that happen?"
"I didn't let love get in the way." she stated calmly.
"Enjoy your eternity alone, Katherine."
He walked past her and was almost out the door, when Katherine asked, "What are you going to do?"
"I'll offer myself as a replacement to Klaus." Damon turned around once more.
"He won't take you. He saw your bite and said that your blood is impure. I'm sorry, Damon, but Jenna's dead. There is nothing you can do about it." With that Damon stormed out of the apartment.
