Niklaus turned on seat heating and glanced with worry at the shivering girl.
"How are you feeling?" His voice cut through the silence as he drove into the hotel's underground garage.
"I'm okay. Just a little dizzy." She yawned, pulling her legs up on the seat.
"Can you walk or should I carry you?" He asked getting out of the car and holding the passenger door open.
"I can walk...I think." She slurred getting out of the car and stumbling within the first steps. Niklaus was immediately at her side, holding her up. When they got to their room she let herself fall down on the bed. "Thank you for saving me, Nik."
Nik. He liked that nickname coming from her lips. "Don't worry about it. Let's get you to bed, we leave tomorrow morning."
He couldn't believe his eyes, when she jumped up from the bed tearing her dress off while scrambling through her bag. Unsurely he looked at the half naked girl crouching on the floor. How much did she drink? "Can I help you?"
Finally she pulled out a worn out shirt and her sweatpants and waltzed into the bathroom to change. Niklaus shook his head in disbelief. Ripping off her clothes in the middle of the room to go change in the bathroom. He picked up the green dress still laying on the floor and carefully packed it into her bag.
He was standing out on the balcony, when she got out of the bathroom. "You're feeling better?" He asked as he sensed her presence behind him. The blonde nodded and went to stand beside him.
"I think I had too much to drink, but I'll be alright." She whispered leaning against the hybrids shoulder.
"Maybe a little headache tomorrow, don't you think, love?" The hybrid grinned at the girl. Rosalie rolled her eyes.
"I don't think I've ever seen you as gentle as tonight." She stated looking at the hybrid carefully. "There's something I'd like to try." He raised an eyebrow at the girl, but before he knew it her laps crashed on his. He could taste her peppermint toothpaste and automatically his hand went up to her hair.
She finally pulled away and looked up at him, very insecure suddenly. "I liked that." she whispered and quickly went to bed hiding under the covers. Niklaus bit his lip, taking in the view one last time before joining her.
He was exhausted, he hadn't slept in a while. So long that he had started to loose count. It's not like he needed sleep and there had always been so much to do. But right now, there was nothing else to do. The blonde needed sleep after all and she deserved a night in a real bed. So he let his head rest on the pillow.
When Rosalie woke up it was still dark outside. Her head hurt as memories from last night came flooding in. She groaned as she ran her hand through her hair. She didn't realise she had drunken so much. Her throat was dry. Water. She needed water. She glanced around the room, her body tensed as she noticed the sleeping hybrid next to her. She looked at him for a minute. She'd never seen him so calm and peaceful. He almost looked, although she didn't even dared to think it, innocent. For a moment she forgot all the terrible things he had done. But he killed her friend. And she kissed him. Unconsciously she touched her lips while a tear was running over her cheek. She had betrayed Dana. Dana was dead, because of him. Well technically because of Stefan, she caught herself thinking. No. No. Stefan was forced by Niklaus. Dana's blood was on his hands. Blood, there was so much blood. Her feet met the cold ground. It took her a few seconds to find her way in the dark, but eventually she found the mini fridge. She grabbed a bottle of water and opened the balcony air. The cool fall wind blew through her hair as she stepped on the balcony. She brought the bottle up to her lips. The lips that she used to...
How could she do this to Dana? A part of her was still in denial about her death. She hoped that when she returned to Mystic Falls, Dana would just be in her usual seat as always. But she held her body, watched as her life was ripped from her. She knew she was dead. And yet here she was. Of course, she didn't want to leave with Niklaus. But it's not like she was suffering. Although she missed her mom. She wondered what she was up to, how she was holding up. She wiped the tear from her cheek and went back inside. It didn't feel right lying next to him, but at the same time she wanted to be close to him and who knew when she would next get the comfort of a bed again.
"How much longer?" Rosalie groaned while she followed the two men through the woods. As if it wasn't bad enough, that Niklaus had dragged her out of bed before dawn. Now she was hiking through mountains looking for werewolves. Even though she had a good breakfast, she simply couldn't keep up with the two hybrids. It was fascinating seeing Marcus now, yesterday he was a stranger who didn't want to be turned, but now he was hanging on to Niklaus' every word. Niklaus obviously loved it, which annoyed Rosalie even more.
"I can always carry you, if you need a break." Niklaus grinned back at her. Rosalie rolled her eyes. "That way we could probably arrive today."
"You could have just left me at the hotel." The blonde argued.
"That's it." Before she could react, Niklaus had grabbed her and sped up through the mountains. She closed her eyes as the wind hit her face. She wasn't a fan of speeding but this was much worse. Finally he slowed down and set her down. She stepped back, holding her head.
"I don't feel so good." She muttered breathing in deeply. The world was spinning around her, so much that she didn't even notice the other people, all of them looking at the two invaders.
"Marcus, who are they?" A man spoke up. Anger very apparent in his voice. "You brought vampires here?"
"Hear him out, he can help us. Trust me." Marcus looked at his pack. Rosalie was confused. The way that Niklaus had forced Tyler and Marcus to turn, it didn't seem like a good thing. So why was Marcus now helping Niklaus against his own people. Did he compel him?
"Hello, my name is Klaus and I'm here to help you." He grinned. "I'm sure you heard of me, I can release you from your curse. You won't be slaves to the moon, you will be invincible and immortal."
They started murmuring and whispering, finally a woman stepped forward glaring at Niklaus, "Didn't work so well for the last clan you turned, didn't it?"
"But you see, your friend Marcus is a shining example of a perfect hybrid." Niklaus pointed at Marcus, "So I offer you the chance to join me." Rosalie was surprised, Niklaus wasn't the person to care about consent. He didn't with Tyler nor with Marcus. Why did they now get a choice?
"No way in hell. We don't mess with your kind" A man muttered. "Marcus, what were you thinking, kid?"
"No volunteers?" Niklaus asked looking through the crowd. "Guess it's good you don't have a choice then."
Rosalie wasn't even surprised, when Niklaus started attacking the werewolves. Feeding them their blood and breaking their neck, one after the other. The few humans in the camp, ducked away scared that they would be next. The whole scene in front of her made her pretty sad, since she could very much relate. Niklaus Mikaelson had turned up in her life one day unannounced and messed it all up.
Niklaus smiled at her, as the last werewolf's neck was broken. "And now we wait."
Hey there!
Sorry that I took so long to update. My last few free days before uni starts again and I was very sick. I slept all day for the last three days, but I'm finally getting better.
Now that uni starts again, there probably won't be daily updates, but I'll try my best to write as much as I can.
Thank you so much for reading my story!
