After a week...

Mick is sitting upright between the pillows, in his bed at home now.

Yesterday he was discharged after Liz gave him the pass. Kim doesn't let him out of her sight and takes great care of him and that he doesn't miss anything.

Mick had the idea of hiring a nurse because he sees Kim exhausted from morning sickness, caused by the pregnancy. Kim immediately refused, saying that no one is needed but her to take care of him and that she doesn't feel as bad as she seems.

Mick is still suspicious about her condition. He hears her vomiting almost every morning and gets frustrated that he can't get out of bed to rush to help her.

However, Kim is so optimistic, and she always lets him know that she is fine and that she only has normal pregnancy symptoms.

Mick would like to take care of her as she takes care of him. He hopes that he will have a speedy recover and be with his fiancee.

He can hear the door from the entrance. Footsteps are heard coming towards him. Mick knows it's Kim who had a doctor's appointment today. It was the baby's first ultrasound, and he couldn't come. He feels helpless again.

"Hey babe," Kim beams as she sees Mick, strolling towards him, sitting on the bed next to him. "How are you feeling?"

"I feel better that you have come home now," he smiles, rubbing her arm. "How was the ultrasound?"

"Is everything okay with the baby?"

"Oh," the brunette raises her eyebrows and rummages in her bag. "Take a look," she shows him the picture with the ultrasound. "The first picture of our baby," she smiles widely.

Not much can be defined there. Just a whitish dot shrouded in blackness. But there is their little baby that grows every day.

Mick fixes his eyes lower on the ultrasound. There is something scripted with a pen. And a little heart drawing. Made by Kim, that's for sure.

'Hello daddy. I am your baby. I can't wait to meet you and mommy.'

Mick is moved, his heart softens and he looks into Kim's tear-filled eyes.

"That's so beautiful, darling. I wish I were there with you. What did the doctor say? Everything is okay?"

"Yes, babe. I am six weeks pregnant. Everything seems fine. I even listened to the heartbeat and don't worry, you will listen to it at the next checkup too!"

"I can't wait, honey," he smiles at her and she leans down to kiss him.

Kim rests her head on his shoulder, wanting to feel him closer. Mick plays with her hair, looking thoughtful.

He suddenly says:

"You know, I thought we could postpone the wedding. We could do it next year."

"What?" Kim looks at him clueless. "Where did that come from? Are you serious?"

"That's only if you agree, honey," he caresses her face gently.

"Is it about your recovery?" Kim seems worried. "Mom thinks you'll recover pretty quickly. Especially since you will soon start having physiotherapy sessions."

"No, honey. Don't worry about me I already feel better," he tries to be convincing but Kim raises an eyebrow in uncertainty. "It's about you, honey. About you two," he looks at her tummy and presses a hand to it. "Maybe it will be difficult for you with all the preparations and organization of the wedding we are responsible for."

"Is that what it was about?" Kim smiles calmly. "Don't worry about me, I will be fine. I won't be more than five months pregnant when the wedding takes place. The pregnancy will not be so advanced. Everything will be alright. You'll see. But I am concerning about you. You've been through a surgery."

"I'll be fully recovered by then, honey," Mick smiles at her. "It's just that it's possible that the dress won't fit you until the wedding date."

"Yes. I'm going to get huge," Kim giggles. "But don't worry about that either. I have a perfect dress for any pregnant bride. I can fit in it until the ninth month of pregnancy. I have thought about everything since learning the news. I knew I would get fat."

"You won't get fat, honey."

"How do you know this? Most women gain weight during pregnancy. Won't I be the exception?"

"Even so, you will be the most beautiful mother,".he smiles with his hand on her tummy.

"And wife," she smiles, lost in his blue eyes. "I can't wait for the big day."

"Me too, honey," he kisses her on the forehead. "Me too."
