After four months... 1993...

Mick and Kim's relationship blossoms with each day that the two lovers spend time together. Every day is precious for them. They have already been together for a year and everything is getting more and more serious for them.

Today, Kim makes her way onto the aisle. She reaches her mother who is dressed in an immaculate white wedding dress, with a long train and a veil covering her face. As her role is to be the maid of honor, Kim stays next to Liz, they both share an emotional smile, Liz sheds a few tears which she quickly wipes so as not to mess up her make-up.

The groom is already there, happy to see his bride. Mick is next to him, as Richard chose him as the best man.

Liz wonders if Richard did this for Kim or if he really likes Mick. It is possible to be both, since Mick and Richard are like the best buddies.

Kim steals sweet glances with Mick. She would look at Mick, Kim imagines herself as a bride, in front of Mick, her groom, saying their vows to each other. The most blessed day would be. Kim wonders if Mick is thinking the same thing as her. Hope so.

Mick can't stop himself from admiring how beautiful Kim looks in her long pink lace dress. She has small dress-colored roses in her brown hair.

The ceremony is over, Liz and Richard are officially married and they kiss.

Kim can't contain her joy because she sees her mother happy after the many sorrows and worries she's had in the last four years. Now her mother is rebuilding her life and finding fulfillment. Everyone leaves the chapel to get to the reception.

Kim spends time at the table with Mick, not separating from each other, looking exactly like two love birds. They both stare at Liz and Richard dancing in the middle of the stage.

"I love to see how much they love each other," Kim proclaims with a warm smile, remembering the moments when her father was alive and made her mother happy, just like Richard does now.

"They really are a fine couple," says Mick. "How does it feel to see your mother getting married?"

"Wonderful. She is so beautiful today. She looks like a queen. And the most important thing is that she is together with Richard and they both suit each other perfectly. I know for sure that they will both grow old together happily."

"I want the same thing for both of us," admits Mick and pulls her closer to him.

Kim smiles at him, her cheeks flushed, resting her head on his shoulder and hoping that what he says will come true.

After a while, it's time for the bride to throw the bouquet. All the unmarried ladies gather like a swarm around the bride. Kim gathers as well, expecting, giving her mother a smile.

Liz pretends to throw the bouquet but eventually turns around, walking slowly towards her daughter and hands her the bouquet of white roses. Kim makes a shocked face.

"There you go, sweetie," Liz smiles. "Maybe you will be the next bride."

"Mom..." Kim hardly can hold back tears.

She hugs her mother first and takes the bouquet of flowers, looking happily at it.

She is not aware that Mick is sneaking up behind her, with a scheming look. Kim observes him, with a clueless expression.

Her brown eyes widen in shock as Mick kneels in front of her and takes out a dark red velvet box, inside a gold ring encrusted with a diamond.

Again, Kim finds it challenging to control her emotions and tears. It's like that she is not in the real world. She seems to be dreaming. A lovely dream, from which she does not want to wake up.

"My dear Kim, I can tell you that I love you until our last day on this planet, but you already know how great my love is for you. And I know how much you love me too. I want to spend the rest of my life only with you. So... Do you want to marry me?"

Kim gasps, cupping her cheek with one hand as she holds the bouquet with the other. Her skin is getting warmer every moment.

Everyone around her, including Liz and Richard, is waiting for a reaction from her.

The brunette smiles widely, tears are flowing from her eyes and she says decisively:

"Yes! I want to marry you."

Mick, smiling widely, gets up in time for Kim to jump into his arms, overcome with excitement and crying with happiness.

Mick hugs her back, looking subtly at Liz and Richard, the smiling newly married couple.

"I didn't expect this," says Kim through tears, with her eyes fixed on Mick, who is her fiancé now. "It was so beautiful."

Mick gives her a small smile and puts the ring on her left ring finger, kissing her hand.

"I'm glad you accepted, honey."

"How could I not accept?" Her gaze grows. "Of course I would accept. I love you so much."

"I love you too, honey," he gives her a swift kiss on her lips.

The rest of the guests, including Kim's mother and stepfather, clap the engaged couple.

Kim checks cautiously at Liz and Richard, a smile appears on her face and says:

"You knew this was going to happen, right?" Liz and Richard giggle, as Kim turns to Mick, who has a sly look just like Liz and Richard.

Her mother hugs her and Mick at the same time:

"Congratulations! I hope you will always be together."

"Thanks mom," Kim hugs her back.

Richard comes and wishes them all the best too.

The reception continues as usual, Kim and Mick can't tear themselves away from each other now, discussing only their forthcoming wedding.
