04- That's All I Get?

After fighting with Ponyboy for the rest of the night while the gang was laughing at us the whole time, it was time for me to go home.

I said goodbye to everyone and said thanks for having me over.

Dally and I walked out of the house to see that his car was gone. "Well im guessing whoever you stole the car from wanted it back." I laughed. "I guess so." He said scratching the back of his neck and letting out a laugh.

"Well I guess we're walking." He said and put his arm around me. We walked in silence the rest of the way home, but not awkward silence, it was nice.

We reached my house after about a 20 minute walk. "Well I guess I should get going. Thanks for today." I said awkwardly. I gave him a hug and then pulled away.

"That's all I get?" He said jokingly. I just shook my head a laughed. "I have to go now. But you can call me or something." I said while starting to walk up to my door.

"See you Valance." He said walking away.
"Goodnight Winston." I said while closing my front door shut. I smiled and did a little happy dance going up the stairs to my room.

I took off my clothes I was wearing earlier and got in my silk white night gown and un-clipped my hair that was up letting it down. I brushed it out and got into my bed. My eyes started to close and I fell into a peaceful sleep....that was soon disturbed by a knock on my window.

I looked out my window to see Dally standing outside. (Look at the picture at the top)

I opened my window, "what are you doing here it's- {I looked over at the clock} - it's 2:30am." I finished my sentence.

"Come out with me." He said giving me the look that no girl can ever say no to. "Fine. I'll be done in a second I need to get dressed." I said closing my window.

I took off my night gown and put on a baby blue shirt and a white cardigan over it and threw on a pair of jeans. I looked at my face in the mirror and had no drool marks. I'm all good.

I peek my head out my room and no one was near. I carefully walked down my stairs and got to the door and started to put on my white flats.

"Where are you going?" I heard a voice behind me. I tinted around and saw Cherry wearing her pajamas and holding a glass of water.

"I'm going out somewhere. Please don't tell dad I swear I'll be back." I begged. She looked at me, I gave her puppy dog face. "Fine." She said rolling her eyes.

"Yay!" I hugged her and ran out the door to see Dally waiting for me. That's when Cherry saw me with Dally. Dally and her made eye contact for what felt like forever. Dally snapped out of it.

"Are you ready?" He asked. I nodded. We started walking, nothing was open at this time so we went to the lot.

I don't know why, but deep down inside I knew something bad was going to happen.
