*Jai POV*

I stood on the front porch debating if I should go inside or not. From the outside, the house seemed to still be quiet and calm as if no one even knew I was gone. I stepped back off the porch and slowly made my way down to the steps where I took a seat. My head placed in between my knees, my thoughts were spinning, making my head go crazy in circles. What was I even suppose to tell Hope. What if she was still so mad that she starts freaking out, one thing leads to another and Frank and my mom come storming in?! Is her dad going to throw me in jail despite even knowing my story but the fact that I hurt his daughter. A small tear dripped from the corner of my eye and I could feel it run down my cold cheek.

I couldn't help but dig my face deeper into my body, letting out a small weep. Instantly, I heard the door open and close, my head whipped back and there stood Hope. Her eyes were puffy and I couldn't help but feel like a complete asshlole. Neither one of us spoke a word. She crept so silently over to the steps where I sat, wiping my tears away before she was close enough to see them. I felt the warmth of her should as it brushed against mine as she sat next to me. I wanted to spill the truth but no words came out.

*Hopes POV*

Once Jai stormed out, as cliché as it may sound my heart began to throb and a sharp pain attacked it as if it was slowly breaking straight down the middle. I couldn't help but shove my face into my pillow and scream louder than I've ever before. I laid in a puddle of tears and thought of erasing him from my life but, suddenly I remembered the first night he stayed at our house. He was so scared for his mom but yet so brave. The amount of courage and love he showed that night reminded me why I fell so madly in love with him so quickly.

I picked up my phone and dialed the number of the person who could always answer my questions and make me feel better.

With the phone up to my ear, the phone rang a few times until I heard, "hello" Luke said in a raspy morning voice.

"Luke can we talk? It's pretty important." I begged even though I knew I didn't have to. Luke was always there for me especially when it came to Jai, he knew how difficult it was to maintain Jai.

"What did he do this time." Luke said obviously referring to Jai.

I couldn't help but let out a small chuckle before continuing, "I found text messages from this person, Sheri, he said it his guy friend but who knows? What if he's cheating on me?" Luke began to laugh which confused me. "Sheri is definitely a guy, he's an old friend of Jai. Him and Jai parted ways but sometimes catch up every once in a while. Don't worry about a thing." He reassured me but I wasn't done. "That's not all Luke!" My tone got stern.

"Then continue" Luke sassed back.

"Jai is selling drugs." I was completely blunt.

"Oh Hope, there are some things that have to be done in this world for a man to survive, good and bad. I know my baby brother and he is no drug dealer." Luke sounded so wise but I was about to prove him wrong, "no, you don't understand! He was planning on meeting Sheri, getting drugs from him and selling them! I read it all in clear black and white."

"Like I said Hope, Jai is not into that type of stuff. I already know exactly what you're talking about. Listen to me when I say this, let him explain or drop it. You will feel like a fool when he tells you the truth. I got to go now but I know things will work out for the best." Luke hung up the phone before I could even respond.

Great, now because of old and wise Luke I'm even more confused than ever. How could I just drop this? But on the other hand if Luke was right I don't want to seem like an idiot after violently raging at my boyfriend.
