I woke up the next morning wishing last night was a dream. I can't believe the Brooks are moving a hour and half away. Jai a I stayed up all night talking about the pros and cons about moving. Pros: I would be busy way more at work and taking classes that I wouldn't be able to see him much anyways and Gina's new job pays way better than her other one. Cons: We can't see each other whenever we want, no more nightly sleepovers and we can only see each other on the weekends because transportation and gas is too expensive.

"JAI!" Gina scram from down the stairs, they were leaving in a hour or so.

My eyes began to water up as I thought about them leaving.

I ran into my dads room where he was putting on his shoes. He took off work for the day to say goodbye to Gina and the boys plus we were going to see the new house today as well.

"Dad...I know you don't want them to leave as much as I do."

"I think I am in love with Gina." He blurt out. My eyes widened. I KNEW IT! Well I knew he was interested in her but love, wow that was serious.

My jaw just hung open and my dad continued to talk, "I know it's crazy but I have some real feelings for her."

"And you're gonna let her just leave like this." I tried to convince him to tell her to stay.

"What am I suppose to say Hope? I can't just expect her fall in love with me, settle down and move in suddenly." My dad had a point, even if he told Gina his feelings right now it wasn't a sure way to keep them here.

"Well can you think of a plan or something, we only have today." I begged then left his room and went back into mine.

Before I opened the door I heard whimpering on the other side as I walked in I saw Jai laying on bed with his head drowning in my pillow.

I tried to calm him down by stroking his back but it just made him cry harder.

"Jai look at me." I commanded him. He looks up with blood shot eyes. "We will get past this don't worry. You know you can stay here whenever and however long you want." He nodded his head and hugged me.

"How about we just check out the house, get your room set up and when my dad goes back home I can stay over tonight and just come back home later." I suggested. He nodded as his head was still buried into my chest.

I was trying anything to relax Jai. He is a stubborn one therefore it can be hard to make him completely happy.

Jai and I walked downstairs to join the others for our last breakfast together. Luke and Beau were the chiefs this morning and made french toast. We all sat in quiet, I admit this is the most awkward sitting we've had together. Luckily dad broke the silence, "um so...are we all taking different cars." I could tell he was just making things up off the top of his head.

"Well I am taking mine, Beau and Luke are taking Beaus." Gina was the first to answer.

"I am taking mine because I'm not coming back home tonight so you should take yours dad." I answered next.

"yeah that's fine, and Jai is going with you?" he asked. I gave him the 'obviously' look which caused him to chuckle.

We cleaned up the dishes and did some finalize packing, making sure the boys didn't leave anything around the house. Even though some of the Brooks' stuff got burned in the fire we let them move everything else in that survived and now we had to pack that all into the four cars we were taking. The guys moved most of the heavy boxes while Gina and I piled in the small things and before I knew it we were off.
