Chapter 15

*bing bing bing*

My alarm was ringing like crazy, I groaned and grabbed my phone to shut it off. I glanced at the time, it was 7 am.

I got out of bed, Jai was still fast asleep as usual, he was a pretty heavy sleeper.

I walked into my bathroom and got into the shower, the steaming hot water sliding down my body woke me up. After I was down I got out, brushed my teeth, combed my hair and finished it off by blow drying it.

I walked back inside my room and got dressed. I wore a black professional business suit. A white button-up, a tight black skirt that went to my knees and a black blazer. I threw on some black heels and slightly covered my face with make-up.

I went down stairs into the kitchen to see my father eating a bowl of cereal. The times was now 8;30. "Hurry and eat darling, we are leaving in 15 minutes." my dad said still with food in his mouth.

I grabbed a bowl and poured some cheerio's and milk in and started eating.

Before I knew it, I was out the door and in the car on my way to the most important day of my life.

I sat in the passenger seat, I pulled out my phone and text Jai, I knew he would still be asleep but I just wanted to let him know what was happening.

*To Baby Jai*

"Good morning, off to the interview, wish me luck, should be home around 11. See you when I get back <3"

I sent it.

We arrived at the police office, I was so nervous my hands were shaking. I followed my dad inside the building, we continued to walk down a long hallway. "here's your stop." he said pointing at a door the said 'Officer Jones'. I gave him a tight hug, "You'll be great! and don't forget to call Beau after so he can pick you up. I'm not done until late tonight." 

"Thanks daddy, don't worry I will. Love you." I kissed his cheek then knocked on the door.

*Knock knock*

Seconds later, a tall muscular man with thin brown hair and dark green eyes opened the door. "You must be Hope Winzer" he smiled which made him look much less intimidating. I nodded.

"Come on inside you hero." he gave out a small chuckle and I followed him inside. I sat down on a chair that was on the other side of his desk, facing him.

"So I hear you are interested in becoming an FBI officer?" he asked.

"Yes, it's always been a dream of mine. To be just like my father."

"So tell me about the Gina Brooks case."

So I told him, "Well once I found out about the case opening I knew it would be a perfect opportunity to make a good impression..."

"Which you did" he cut me off then let me start back up again.

I smiled that kept on going with the story, "So after talking to her sons who were a big help of the investigation I slowly took things into my own hands. I contacted a friend of mine who helped out with the personal information about Ronald Chavez. But without getting so close to Gina's sons I wouldn't of been able to figure out that Daniel Sahyoune was apart of it and also her son was the reason for the kidnapping." I took a deep breath.

"Wow, so you really took things seriously, I was informed on how you were in the middle of the crime scene and I raise you for your bravery." he announced.

I thanked him and he spoke again, "I want to let you know that I am interested in hiring you to come along on our team." My eyes lit up.

"First things first is because you're so young I will need you to finish come courses. If you are serious about this position, you will need to drop out of college and take the proper online classes to be certified." He said, I was shocked. 

I didn't know I felt about dropping all of my classes but thus was my dream. Without thinking I nodded, "yes"

"Great!"

For the rest of the meeting Officer Jones went over the courses I would be taking and I had to sign a few contract papers.

I was jumping with joy as I walked out of his office. I couldn't wait to get home and tell Jai ass the good news. I called Beau and he instantly picked me up.

The car ride was pretty silent, he asked me what happened but I refuse to tell him until we were back home with the twins as well.

We got home and I ran inside the house, it was 11am so I was guessing that Jai was just waking up, I ran up the stairs and dashed into my room. Jai was still laying in bed, he was awake though, playing on his phone. I jumped on top of him, my adrenaline was crazy, I smacked my lips onto his. He was surprised but then kissed back. 

"I am guessing it went good." he said after realizing how happy and energetic I was. I nodded and dragged him out of bed. I wanted to tell Beau and Luke as well.

We all met in the living room, the boys sat on the couch as I stood in front of them. All the attention was on me, "Officer Jones told me he wants me to be apart of the FBI force! He also said that I have to drop out of college because I need to take certain classes for proper training. BUT I AM IN AND IT'S ALL BECAUSE OF YOUS!!!" I was now screaming. I jumped on the three boys and gave the a giant group hug.

Jai pulled my body up and sat me on his lap, "I am so proud of you." he said kissing my forehead. I gave him a tight squeeze. This moment was so perfect, nothing could go wrong.

After a day of relaxing with the boys, Gina was home from work. I was sad because this was their last night with us. They moved to their new house tomorrow afternoon.

I told Gina all the good news that had happened today and she congratulated me. She insisted on going out for a celebration dinner. "Go upstairs and get ready, we will leave in 30 minutes." she told me.

I went inside my room and took off my lazy clothes and slipped on a formal sleek black dress. I straightened my hair and added a bit more make up to my face. I put on the same black heels as before and walked back into the living room. 

The boys were ready, they wore nice button-up collar shirts with black slacks. Gina walked out in a fancy white long dress and we were off.

I wish my dad could of came but I understand he was a busy man. That was soon to be me, a busy working woman so I better enjoy the time I have left.

Gina took us to a 5 star restaurant downtown. We sat down at a large table. Luke and Beau on one side, Jai and I on the other and Gina and the head.

We made small conversation about how excited I was about everything. Beau talked about his new job. Luke conversed on how he doesn't want to move. We all agreed on that one.

Our food came out, we all got the chiefs choice which was a large steak with potatoes and vegetables. I had a glass of wine to be all fancy.

"I have some important news." Gina broke the silence.

"what is it?" Beau asked. We all gave a confused look towards her. She looked extremely nervous.

"um...well see boys our new house isn't where you think it is." she paused.

"What do you mean?" Jai asked.

"I thought they're rebuilding our old hose." Luke said.

"They are, we are just not moving back into that house." Gina explained.

"Then...." I asked with the most confused faced I have ever made. Why wasn't she getting to the point already.

"we are moving a few town over..."

"How many tons over." beau was stern.

"A hour and a half away." she quickly said.

My heart stop beating and I felt as I was abut to fall right out of my chair and die. My eyes instantly filled up tears. I ran out of the restaurant and sat on the bench outside crying my eyes out. 

Jai followed and sat beside me. "I am not going." he whispered in my ear. I knew he was saying that just to make me feel better.

I couldn't even speak of how hard I was crying. Why me? Today was such to be such an amazing day and now I find out they're moving over a hour away from me.

Jai wrapped his arms around me and repetitively kissed the top of my head, "please stop crying baby, please."
