"I think I might need some new clothes." Viridian was currently in her closet perusing through her clothes. She was trying to pack up her things but there wasn't much she wanted to take with her.

"Well you can take as little or as much as you want. There is plenty of room for you."

"Should we sell my house?" Viridian asked. Ian smiled and stared at her. "What?"

"You said 'we'." Viridian made a face at him and he continued. "I think you should keep it just in case. It's nice to have property in your name."

"Why?"

"You just never know what's going to happen down the line and you might need a place to live in the states. I've got several houses all over the world."

Viridian laughed, "Well some of us don't have as much money as you."

Ian rose up from his perch on the edge of the bed and crossed into the closet. He placed his hands along the back of her neck underneath her hair. "What is mine is yours, love. You will want for nothing."

"I can't just mooch of you. I need to get a job and help out."

"Viridian I promise you it will be just fine. I've been alive for centuries. I'm not even sure how much I'm worth." Again he was being confident but some how extremely humble about it.

"Well if you have that much then ok." Viridian blushed and continued to peruse her closet. She realized that she wasn't going to take much from her old life. One large suitcase for her clothes would be enough and a couple of boxes for things from around her house. She wanted her new room to have room for more new memories. She wanted to fill her walls with experiences from new countries. She wanted to get as far away from her life as possible.

"Take whatever you want. We'll have it all shipped and it should get to us within the week."

Viridian had watched Ian get on the phone and get plans ready for both of them to leave the following day. He had gotten his flight changed and bought another ticket for her. He'd been getting things ready all day while simultaneously jumping around the sunlight.

She dropped another piece of clothing into her suitcase. "We need to get some travel cases for Shadow and Phoenix as well. They'll need a box for all of their supplies and toys." Viridian was trying to keep a mental list of everything she needed to do before they left.

Ian poked his head into the closet, "I've already got a labeled box for them and it's late but I might be able to find an all night Wal-Mart."

"Thank you. You're kind of perfect aren't you?"

"Hardly. Just wait you'll see how terrible I really am when we get back home."

"Oh so it's our home now?" Viridian was the one to stick her head out this time.

"Of course. It was your home the minute I changed you. Like I said what's mine is yours. That includes anything in my name. I take care of the people I care about and you are now one of those people." Ian finished writing on a box and set it down. He pressed a kiss along her cheek before leaving the room. "I'll be back." He yelled from the front room. She heard the front door close and lock. Somehow he'd gotten a key and she didn't even mind that she didn't know where or how he'd gotten it. Ian just seemed like the type of person that could just get things which was just fine by Viridian.

By the time that he returned with two pet cages and pet food for the next month, Viridian had finished packing her room and clothes and had started rifling through the kitchen. She had a couple of special baking utensils that she really wanted to take with her but that was pretty much the only thing she needed. She was basically done packing up her whole life and it made her want to leave even more. She'd barely made a life for herself here and she'd been here for more than a year. She wanted to leave so that she could try and make a life with someone else.
