Viridian was sitting on her brand new Queen size bed. She had finally found the right bed and it had been moved in a couple of weeks ago. She was sleeping alone however because she had not talked to Ian since the meeting. She had not talked to anyone since the meeting except for Sophie who had helped her move her bed in and was the only one she really trusted at the moment. While Ian had tried to talk to her that very same day, she wasn't exactly ready to explain the whole dirty situation.
"I think that you should start your own business." Sophia was sitting on her giant beanbag chair and looking around her room. "You've decorated this place so well and I think other people would love this. I honestly can't tell you different this place looks. It doesn't even look like an ancient church anymore."
"I mean I was looking for something to do but I don't think that's it." Viridian laughed.
"I don't know I think you could really pull it off. I could always help you get start-" A knock on the door interrupted Sophia and she smiled. "I think you should get that, it's someone important." She got up and opened the door to reveal Nadia.
Viridian didn't know how all of them could tell who knocking on their doors. She figured it was because they'd lived together for so long and knew each other.
"I was wondering if could talk to you." Nadia was fidgeting with her sleeves but her face was calm and resolved.
"I'll leave you two to it." Sophia had heard all about the business of Nadia and Rivka and what Viridian had heard and she knew that Nadia wasn't a mean person. She was known for being a little heavy handed though.
Since Sophia had practically invited Nadia in, Viridian had to listen to what she had to say. Hopefully it wouldn't be a waste of time. "What would you like to talk to me about?" She wasn't in the mood to be friendly to people but she would always be polite.
"I was hoping that you would accept an apology." Nadia had spent several hours trying to figure out how to apologize to this girl and it wasn't working. She'd never been good at apologies because she hated being wrong. If she was never wrong then she never had to apologize.
"Ok."
"I'm sorry that you heard us talking about you." Nadia started, "I definitely didn't intend for you to hear it and it wasn't something that I would have ever said to your face."
"That' doesn't make it better." She answered.
"I know. I was just trying to make Rivka feel better. She's been going through a lot since you got here and you're the only one she has to take it out on." Nadia explained, "I was just trying to be a good friend."
"It would have been nice if you would have been a friend to me." Viridian said.
"I've known Rivka for years and I just met you two months ago. I'm sorry but I'm going to side with her. I don't know you."
"I was trying to get to know you guys. I don't know what else I have to do."
"It's not about getting to know us. It's about time. We've been through things; we've fought by each other's side. I don't have that trust with you yet. Until I do, I'm always going to side with my family."
"Well at least now I know." Viridian answered. She hated Nadia's mentality but she respected her for telling the truth. She didn't want to point out that she could never gain Nadia's trust if she didn't let her but it didn't seem like the time. It looked like it had taken a lot for Nadia to even come forward and apologize for her words.
