The next week passed quickly without event. Although Viridian was hurting she hid it from the others. She had learned how to do that at an early age and now was no different. She knew that Ian had a lot on his plate so she didn't bother telling him and for the most part it didn't change how she felt about the people she was now living with. She did however do her best to avoid entering a room with either Nadia or Rivka in it, which turned out to be very easy. She hadn't spent too much time with either girl and she was glad now that she hadn't. She was fine with the friends she had and she wasn't going to stop complaining now.
Besides she had much bigger problems to deal with like Ian's problem with that councilwoman that hated him and was planning something behind everyone's' backs. Although from what Ian had told her about the vampire community, most of them would much rather they didn't have any council so she wasn't sure if anybody else cared.
"Hey Greenie." Oliver came up and threw his arm around Viridian's shoulder. "How are you doing tonight?"
"I'm doing great. What's going on?"
"Nothing much just heading towards this meeting." Oliver answered. Ian had asked everybody to meet him in his office to talk about the whole Summit problem tonight.
"I know that's where I was headed." Viridian laughed. "Have you seen Sophia, I wanted to talk to her about something."
"Nope but she'll be here. Ian rarely calls these meetings so we all come when he does."
"Yea that makes since." Viridian smiled. She had wanted to talk to Sophia about the whole Nadia and Rivka thing because she really felt like Sophia was genuine about her friendship. She also thought that she was a good problem solver and she could figure out what she should say to them if anything.
When they arrived at Ian's office he was already there as well as Rivka and Ivan. The others came trickling in after them. Viridian waited by the door until Sophia came through with Daisy and then she grabbed her by he arm and quickly pulled her aside.
"Hey when we're done with this, I want to talk to you about something."
"Sure!" Sophia smiled. "Just come to my room afterwards." She smiled and Viridian walked back to Ian feeling better. She was happy that she at least got a game plan to take care of the problem instead of just worrying about it.
"Alright team." Ian joked, "I've got to talk to you guys about some things and we need to make a decision." Usually Ian would have sat in his chair during one of these meeting but this time he was standing behind it. Viridian was sitting his chair, he legs tucked underneath her as she absentmindedly played with Ian's fingers while he talked.
"By now I'm sure you've heard about what happened at the Summit." Ian looked at all of their faces and found the answer, "And now is the time to talk about what you've thinking about it." All of them started talking at once and Ian laughed before holding up his hand. "One at a time, please."
Sophia stood up, "Honestly I think we need to take this bitch down." Daisy laughed while tugging her back into her seat. Viridian laughed too, "I'm serious you guys! She's been hating on Ian for ever for no reason. So what that we're better than her!"
"What about the witch and the gypsy? Why are they even mad at Ian?" Oliver asked.
"Well there was that incident in Louisiana a couple of decades ago." Evangeline mused. "Remember that?"
