'Sit down.' he said. 'I need to tell you something important.' she took a seat fearing the worst.

'It's about the comment a student made after the fight you had with Miles and the picture that has been posted from campus.' he said. 'Picture from campus?' She looked at him not understanding what campus had to do with it since she doesn't live in a dorm. 'Here.' He takes out his phone and shows her a social media post.

It has over 6.000 views and was posted 3 hours ago, around the time of the fight between Miles and her. The amount of views is not that surprising, the picture is eye catching. Saying the least.

'And what is this supposed to be?' She asked him being confused by the picture on his phone. 'Read it.' He said sounding slightly annoyed. ''The student who is in a secret relationship with her teacher.'' 'Students have seen us together.' He said and put the phone down. She was quiet, thinking about the conversation she just had with Colby. Did he see it? Did he already know? she gathered her thoughts bringing herself back to the conversation.

'So? You teach laws, there is no law against a relationship between a student and a teacher on universities. We both knew this could happen.' she said. Trying her best not to sound scared of what this will lead to. 'I know, that is not the point.' He took of his glasses and moved his hand over his face.

'Get to the point.' She sat back in the chair, waiting for him to start explaining. 'I never cared about what others think of me. But you.. the comments where shall we say, not approving. They were tearing you apart, saying you're doing it for extra credit. The rest was even worse. Now when I walk around here, staff stares at me like I did something aberrant.' He said with his husky voice that slowly returned.

'You know I don't care about them. This is what people do.' She said to him, not understanding why he cares out of no where. He was the one that kissed her on the school grounds. He knew damn well that this was one of the thousand consequences of them being together.

'Listen.. when people don't have enough entertainment in their lives they tend to gossip and tearing others down. They like watching the fallout of rumors. Sometimes even stoke the flames if they're bored enough. We can't give them more fuel.' he put his glasses back on. Turning cold to her.

'What are you saying?' she got worried and sat up straight. He could hear it in her voice, but didn't change his tone. 'I am saying that you have to stop, we have to stop.' her expressions shifted. 'What..?' her voice trembled, not knowing what else to say. 'We can't do this anymore. It was good while it lasted. We had some fun together.. but now that should come to an end.'

'How can you change so quickly. What about all the things you told me?' she shifted to being mad. 'Do you really think that my need and attraction is more worth that someone else's future? Your future.' Feeling her anger made him angry too. Without noticing it, he started raising his voice at her. 'I don't care about my future. I don't care about other people! I care about you, us. It's stupid to say this even though we've been together for only 3 days but I really don't want to loose you because of some stupid classmates. Who are obviously just jealous.' she said trying to explain her side while lying a little here and there.

'I care about you! If this leaks any more you're future will be at stake. You know I became a professor to teach people. To nurture curious minds, to prepair and give them the boost they need to succes. I didn't come here to follow my heart and fulfil my desires.'

'So we just end here?! Like this?' She asks him sitting on the edge of her chair. Praying in the back of her mind not to hear him say it. 'I should've never given in to this.' His voice turned heavy and the tone colder than before. His face too, his cold expression send a shiver down her spine while tears were moving up. 'So this was all just a game to you? Payback or something?' she started blinking more. Not wanting to feel such a vulnerable emotion.
