When Hyejin arrived at school her group was already waiting for her. 'Sorry Miles, no time to smoke today.' She said while messing up Miles hair. 'Not my hair! It took me 20 minutes to style.' He said while pushing her away softly and fixing his hair.
'Sorry pretty boy.' She kissed him on the cheek and fixed his hair in the back. 'Hey guys.. I need girl advice.' all of them gasped and looked at Colby.
'Girl advice?!' Elijah and Hyejin said at the same time. 'Yeah, there's this girl I am dating. I just don't know how to approach her the right way, I don't want her to feel uncomfortable.' He explained while looking around the parking lot.
'Dating?!' Miles said. 'Alright boy, I'll give you some advice.' He said but got interupted by Hyejin and Elijah.
'Absolutely not.' Elijah said stopping him. 'No. Just no.' Hyejin added.
They all started laughing and walked to the school intrance. They got english first. 'Did we have any homework?' Miles asks them. Elijah shrugged and Colby shook his head doubtfully. They all looked at Hyejin who gave them a side eye.
'No.' She said. 'I don't think so.' They chuckled and walked into the crowd of students. When they arrived at the classroom they saw their class standing in front of the door. It seemed like the professor was extremely late, the door was still locked.
'Great. The only time we try to be on time we could've went for a smoke.' Miles says annoyed. 'Don't we have class from Do- Hwan?' She asks them. They all nodd. 'He is never late. There must be something going on.' She continued while looking around to the back of the hall.
After waiting 5 more minutes he finally showed up apoligizing over and over again. He struggles with his key and everyone enters the classroom.
'I'm very sorry, I had some personal business to take care of!' He says again. The students reasured him that it was no big deal. He was a type of professor that gave not only second chances but even a third.
He was always making the class laugh and cheered people up by holding a couple of breaks throughout the lesson. He taught them well and with usefull tactics. His class was the only one every student followed every day of the year. Even when they were sick.
Todays class was a little messy but still fun. When it ended he gave up some homework and dismissed the class. 'Sir, are you alright?' Hyejin asked stopping on her way to the door. 'Ah, Hyejin sweetheart. I went to visit your mom this morning.' He said while organizing the papers on his desk.
'How is she?' She asked him. 'She is doing well. There was just, something different about her. She is very thin and shaky. I asked the doctors and they told me she had to be force-fed the night before.' He said, finally looking at her.
'She has severe depression.' Hyejin said quietly, looking upset. 'I'm sure she will be alright! Don't worry too much.' He smiled at her trying to cheer her up. 'I'm going for a smoke. Wanna join?' Miles whispered in Hyejin's ear. She nodded at him.
'Take care sir and thanks for today's lesson.' She said as she walked to the door. 'I'll pray for your mother honey. She'll be alright.' He said before she left. When she exited the room her expression switched back to being the happy, silly and arrogant Hyejin they knew. 'Colby! Tell me about the girl.' She said wanting to switch topics as fast as she could.
'Well.. she's in our class. She can be a bit sassy when she's with her friends but when she's alone she's a different person. Sweet, calm, nice.' He said drifting away in his thoughts.
'Sweet and nice are the same things.' Miles threw his arm over his shoulders. 'Right.' Hyejin chuckled. 'What's her name?' She asked.
He was thinking, thinking, way to long to think of a name. 'You don't have to tell us if you don't want to.' she said trying to make him feel comfortable.
