A quick look into Annabeth making Percy blush through their teenage years.

It had been a few weeks since the newly-claimed Son of Poseidon graced Camp Half-Blood.

Annabeth despised him.

She barely knew him, but she was fascinated by him and his mannerisms. That added to the fact that their parents were rivals, made her hate him.

She couldn't deny her interest in him though.

She was shocked when he disarmed Luke, and grudgingly decided to ask him where he learned his skill.

One evening, Annabeth saw Percy sitting near the lake alone, so she went toward the lake and flopped down next to him.

Percy jumped, "Oh, it's you. Hi, Annabeth."

"How did you learn to spar like that?"

"What?" Percy asked, a blank look on his face.

Annabeth rolled her eyes, "The move you disarmed Luke with. I thought you hadn't sparred before. How did you learn it?" Hesistantly, she added, "It was pretty clean."

Percy looked surprised and scratched the back of his neck. "Oh, um..." Red splotches were rapidly spreading across his face and neck.

Annabeth leaned away from him in horror, "Gods, what's happening to your face? Are you having an allergic reaction?"

"NO!" Percy covered his cheeks with his hands, embarrassed.

"Oh my God." Annabeth had a realization. "Are you....blushing?"

Percy groaned, burying his head in his arms.

A delighted smirk spread across her face.

Percy and this situation both may not be so bad.

Annabeth was furious at him. Absolutely furious.

Percy had forgotten about their meet-up AGAIN, and left her waiting alone in a café near the Times Square.

She was muttering to herself as she sat alone at a table, tapping her fingers incessantly, "I bet he ditched me for Rachel again."

Rachel was Percy's new red-headed friend, and he seemed besotted with her. A couple of months ago, he'd forgotten he was going to meet Annabeth and instead hung out with Rachel. Percy had apologized profusely, claiming that it had slipped his mind and it wouldn't happen again, but she wasn't quite sure of that.

As of right now, Percy was 42 minutes late.

Annabeth huffed and was about to leave, when someone flew through the door, and it was her very own Seaweed Brain, panting.

He looked around frantically until his eyes landed on her and he rushed towards where she was sitting.

"Percy! Where were you? I've been waiting for 45 minutes!" Annabeth asked, annoyed.
