3rd Person P.O.V

"PERSEUS JACKSON!?" Percy fell off the bed, thudding on the ground. He groaned, and then buried his head in his arms.

His mom screamed again, "PERCY!? GET UP, YOU'RE LATE FOR YOUR DATE WITH ANNABETH!"

Almost reflexively, Percy muttered, "It's not a date." Then his mother's words registered. He was late. He checked the clock. It was 12.45 PM! He was supposed to meet Annabeth at The Bean Cafe at 12 PM!

Percy jumped up from the floor, tangled in a mess of blankets. He tripped over his feet, almost falling on his face. Luckily, his demigod reflexes saved him.

Percy stumbled into the bathroom, bumping into the bedpost on his way in.

Percy stood in front of the mirror, with dark circles and wearing bedraggled dirty clothes. 'I really shouldn't have stayed up till 3 in the morning with nervous jitters.'

He shook his head, and picked up a bright blue t-shirt that was lying on the floor. He sniffed it. It didn't smell too bad. Percy tossed it on, grabbing his deodorant and applying it on his armpits. He ran a hand through his always-messy hair, and pulled on some denim jeans.

Percy grabbed some sneakers and started wearing them, hopping into the living room, seeing his mom flipping pancakes and humming contentedly.

As soon as Sally saw Percy, she gained a panicked look on her face, "What are you waiting for? Go! Gods, I understand why Annabeth calls you Seaweed Brain."

Percy rolled his eyes, took a pancake and yelled, "Bye mom!" With that he tore out of the apartment.

As he ran down the street toward the cafe, he thought, 'Crap. Annabeth's gonna kill me for being late.'

Annabeth P.O.V

I sighed as I checked my shield-watch. It was 1.00 PM. Percy and I were supposed to meet at this cafe at 12.00 PM. He's late. Again.

I turned my attention back to the book I was reading, when I heard a loud bang. I immediately stood up and whipped my dagger, thinking it was a monster. The cafe was dead silent. I crept closer and saw a tuft of black hair. It was a person? Lying on the floor?

The boy groaned and turned, making me have full view of his face. It was Percy. I sheathed my dagger and crossed my arms, "Seriously, Seaweed Brain?"

Percy held his head up with an irritated look on his face, but when he saw me, an uneasy grin graced his face. I cocked my eyebrow.

Percy got up, stumbling, but he was still half-asleep, so he ended up falling on me. Because Percy was much heavier and bigger than me, we both ended up falling on the ground with me on the bottom.

Everyone in the cafe looked at us, a few in amusement and a few in shock. Percy and I started giggling and looked at each other. Then we realized how close we were. Our faces were separated by only a few centimetres.

My face went completely red, and Percy's ears and neck flushed. Percy pushed himself off me and held his hand out to me. I rolled my eyes at him, and got up myself. I crossed my arms once again, I was still mad at him.

I crossed my arms and glared at him, "What's your excuse for being late this time?"

Percy's smile slid off his face and he rubbed the back of his neck, which was something he did when he was nervous. I thought, 'Damn him! He's so cute, it's so hard to be mad at him.'

"Well?" I said, again. Percy got even more nervous. That caused a smirk to break out on my face. I wasn't even mad at him anymore, it was just fun to see him squirm.

"Sorry I'm late. I had to...take my pet fish on a walk?" Percy said nervously.

I started laughing. "Since when do you have a pet fish?"

"Since yesterday?" Percy said. I knew he was inwardly cursing himself for saying such a bad excuse.

"And you can take pet fish on walks?" I teased.

Percy tore at his hair, obviously frustrated, "Fine, I overslept okay?"

"Jerk." I mumbled, not really meaning it.

"Oh, come on. Forgive me? Please?" Percy had his classic puppy eyes expression. "I'll buy you ice cream."

I huffed, giving in. "You're lucky you're so cute." I muttered under my breath, but Percy heard it.

A victorious grin danced on his face, "So, you think I'm cute, huh?"

My face reddened for the second time and all I could say was, "Uh.."

"No problem, I think you're adorable too." Percy said before skipping out of the cafe.

I stood there in shock. The guy I liked thought I was adorable!

"Wise Girl? You coming?" Percy said, holding his hand out.

I shook my head and accepted it, giddy inside.

Yeah, I really liked him.
