Miley Jefferson P.O.V

I smoothed my hands over my shirt and checked myself in the mirror one last time. 

White short shorts, sea blue t-shirt with a sequined wave pattern and matching blue Converse high-tops. I didn't have a lot of makeup on, just a little bit of eyeshadow, blush and finished of with lipstick. Cute and casual. Normally, I wouldn't care about my appearance so much, but today was different. Percy Jackson, the most popular and hottest guy at Goode High, was going to ask me, Miley, to prom! AGH! 

How did I know this? Well..

Flashback start

We were at lunch and I was really nervous. But I had to ask him this.

"So, Percy... You know prom's been coming up right?" I said, nervously.

Percy angled his amazing sea green eyes toward me and smiled. "'Course I know. Why?"

"Well...Who are you going with?" I asked my friend.

"I'm going with my best friend." He said.

Flashback end

So I knew he was going to ask me, because I was obviously his best friend. But what he didn't know was that I had a HUGE crush on him. I mean, who wouldn't? He was hot, sweet, caring and nice. I checked the clock and noticed that I was getting late, so I picked up my bag and rushed out the door.

I normally didn't see Percy before lunch because I was always early and he was always late. I said hi to my other friends and rushed to class.

Time skip [At lunch]

I saw Percy before he saw me. He looked so handsome, with his raven hair swept over his gorgeous green eyes, and his body...Oh, his body...

I snapped out of my crush-induced stage and called him over. "Percy! Over here." I was strangely nervous and my hands were sweating A LOT.

My soon-to-be-boyfriend smiled his gorgeous smile and walked over. I noticed something strange. Percy had a far-away look in his eyes, and all throughout lunch he barely talked.

I tried talking to him, but to no avail. He didn't even check me out! I was a fair bit concerned.

'He's probably nervous about asking me, thinking that maybe I'd say no.' I thought. I brushed it off and continued eating.

I got even more worried, and angry, as lunch came to an end, and Percy still hadn't asked me.

"Miley, Miley!" Percy said as he shook me out of my thoughts. "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine." I said barely concealing my feelings.

"So, anyway, can you meet me under the big willow tree in Central Park at 3.30?" He asked, rubbing his hands together. "I have something to show you."

OMG! So that's what he'd been planning, romantically asking me, in the most famous park in all of New York City. Awwwww!

"Of course." I said sweetly. Percy looked slightly confused, by the super quick change in my voice.
