"Babe, do you want kids?" Mariah propped her iPhone on her knees while her back sat against her bed's headboard. She was currently scrolling through Pinterest, scouring the many pictures they had to find the perfect ones for her vision board.

"Not really. They're too much work." Brandon commented, cutting the lights off to Mariah's en-suite bathroom.

Mariah glanced at him as he threw a towel over his shoulder. She frowned before turning back to her device. "But wouldn't it be nice to have a mini you running around?"

"For you, it would. I don't really like kids." Brandon shrugged, throwing the bath towel in an empty clothes hamper. He tossed the covers around in search of the TV remote.

"No fun. I want a big family," Mariah saved a photo of a nice suburban family to her Pinterest board before setting her phone on the nightstand. She arose from her place on the bed and slipped her house shoes on. It was Sunday, meaning she was going to her weekly dinner with Diamond and Lexi.

"It can just be the two of us... and Miso. I'm perfectly fine with that." Brandon glanced over at Mariah's pet. The grey and black cat snuggled closer into his bed, letting a few purrs escape his mouth every few seconds.

Rolling her eyes, Mariah proceeded to her walk-in closet, scavenging for an outfit to wear. It seemed like the two had this conversation every few months, and it was getting agitating."But I'm not. I'm only getting older and I wanna have a family within a few years." Recently turning 25, Mariah already knew she wanted to have kids by 30, and if everything was planned the way she thought, she would be in the countryside raising a child soon.

Brandon wasn't at all ready for marriage. He loved Mariah, but he wasn't so sure if he was in love with her. Everyone knew how much of a hopeless romantic she was due to her music and the cryptic tweets she put out every so often. Brandon just wasn't so sure if he was ready for that big of a commitment at such a young age. "We can talk about this later, Ry. The Falcons game is about to start. Did you go to church this morning?"

"Yeah, my dad says hi. By the way, did you know Aya has a little sister? Thaïs." Mariah pulled her Givenchy Shark Lock boots from a box and decided to pair those with the bodysuit she chose to sport. The boots reminded her of Thaïs since she wore them the last time she saw her. Mariah hadn't seen or heard from the woman since, making her wonder when she was going to call. She was looking forward to it, but wouldn't give her hopes up.

"I thought she was an only child?" Brandon glanced up at the TV. The game hadn't started just yet, so he could talk for a few more minutes.

Mariah shrugged her shoulders. The sisters never really talked about one another to their friends. They loathed each other in their teen years, so if nobody asked they didn't speak about each other. "Aya told me she lived in New York in her childhood and moved here a few years ago. She never leaves the house so I just met her a few weeks ago."
