Three days have passed since the Magna Guardians entered the scene. The city has had a few active members patrolling alongside regular law enforcement, in hopes of building a stronger sense of community bonding. While there were a few who allowed their powers to get to their heads, there was little regular law enforcement could do, except cause a scene, which would spark some controversy online. With the introduction of the Guardians, Alex began to move a few things into Bill's house, where one of the guest rooms had officially been made into his own. In this short amount of time, Alex secretly felt guilt for moving with a family member that showed legitimate affection toward him. Chell immediately went to work trying to find a way to work around the Guardian's legal limitations and found a simple solution. She developed a program in her surveillance system that could track enemy movements. This way, the Rangers could not only be freed of the Magna Guardians' persecution, and keep trying to keep the world safe.
During this recent attack, Alex and the other Rangers were fighting Alecia's Oni as if nothing had happened. While the group was out fighting the troops, Chell admired her teachings paying off for her students. She looked at a cupboard and contemplated taking a look inside. Bill came through the door and called out to make sure he was not alone.
"Oh, hi Bill," Chell called out.
"Hello, Chell," Bill responded. "I thought I'd come to see how my grandson and his friends are doing."
"Well, they're out taking on a group of Oni as we speak," Chell explained. "They'll be back in no time."
"Oh, good, good. In the meantime, would you mind if I ask you a question?"
"By all means."
"I've done some research on you and how you have family in the brotherhood. How long do you plan to keep this hidden from them?"
"Look, Bill. I'm aware that I can't keep it a secret forever. I just...I have a lot of drama they don't need to get into."
"So...you think because they have nothing to do with it, you shouldn't talk about it?"
"I mean...I didn't exactly have a catalog of good role models growing up so...Wasn't taught how to regulate things."
"And this is one more reason why you will always have a good student."
"Wait, what do you mean?"
"Alex. I did some looking into this Autism he has and discovered that, routine is an essential part of his life. And since he's been training with you for so long, I doubt he'll jump ship."
Chell chuckled as she gave a smirk and returned to look at the monitors where the Rangers had just finished fighting.o
The Rangers came through the dojo doors and seemed happy. Happier than they have been in a long time.
"Alright, boys," Richard called out. "24. That's my final score."
"22..." Daric said sheepishly. "Yeah..."
"Hey, no shame in that," Richard said. "I'm just that good."
"32," Alex called out with his hands over his head.
"WHAT," Richard shouted. "There is not a chance in hell you got 32!!"
"While you were too busy stabbing, I hacked and slashed my way through," Alex retorted with a grin.
"Oh you little," Richard grimaced.
He grabbed Alex by the back and tried wrestling him to the ground. Rachel and Faith looked on with the former rolling her eyes.
"Faith, it's just a bit of fun," Rachel said.
"You call these childish games fun," Faith retorted. "In case none of you realized, we have a world to keep safe. This isn't time for games!"
"It's called keeping morale up," Rachel shouted back.
The girls gritted their teeth and they wrestled each other to the ground and began pulling at one another's hair. A second later, Alex and Richard witnessed the girls fighting.
"GO FOR THE JUGULAR," Richard called out in amusement.
"SHUT UP AND HELP US IDIOT," Alex shouted at Richard while cold clocking him in the back of the head.
Chell witnessed for about two seconds before she stepped in and used a pressure point technique on Alex, Richard, Rachel, and Faith's necks.
"What's going on around here," Chell demanded.
"I can explain Chell," Alex called out.
"Please, explain," Chell said as she held the girls by the back of their necks.
"The boys and I decided to make a game about the basic Oni we defeat," Alex explained. "1 point per Oni. It's not meant to rustle feathers, it's just a little fun while we work."
"Well, you should've been better than this, mister leader," Faith snapped. "If we slip up, even once, Alecia will capitalize. The more you dolts play around, the easier we'll be defeated."
"Faith, that's enough," Chell said. "And Ray, I appreciate you jumping to save your friends. But
Faith is your friend too, and she does make some arguments."
"Well, I may know a pair that can assist," Bill said as he came downstairs.
"Who are they Grandpa," Alex asked.
"Members of the Brotherhood," Bill answered. "A duo who utilize the Baracuta and Mantis Totems. Masters Syph and Mantio. It is up to you at the end of the day Chell, but I do recommend the girls learn from them. As siblings, they tend to go at each other's throats."
"That...Sounds like a fantastic idea," Chell smiled. "You two better get your supplies ready. Cause you got some masters to learn from."
