It's ONCEday, but there is no new episode today .
Anyway, this is a post-finale drabble about how Emma's family handling things after she disappeared. Xx

They didn't know how long they had been standing there. Seconds? Minutes? Hours? It didn't matter. All that mattered was that Emma had become the Dark One and disappeared.

Mary Margaret cried loudly, and buried her face into David's shoulder. He tried to comfort her, but he was broken too.

Regina and Robin stood next to them quietly. Regina was thinking about how she was going to explain this to Henry and what they were going to do - because Emma definitely couldn't stay like that, she deserved a happy life too.

And there was Killian. He didn't take his eyes off of the dagger for a moment. He didn't cry either, just tried to process the things that had happened. She told him she loved him. And he didn't have the chance to say it back, because she left him to save everybody. Except him.

After a few more minutes, David was the first to move. He whispered something to Mary Margaret, and took a few steps in Killian's direction. He still hadn't moved. He still stared the dagger with his love's name.

"Come on, Killian." David approached, putting one hand to his shoulder. He suddenly got angry, as all the emotions burst.

"Where the bloody hell would I be going with you?" He shouted, and finally moved his eyes off of the iron thing.

"Home." The prince answered, preserving his calm voice.

"You are not serious, right?" He laughed sarcastically, looking into David's eyes.

"Look. Emma loves you, which means we are family. So if you think we are going to leave you here, you are damn wrong." Now he wasn't calm either. But if the pirate only understood harsh words, he could give him harsh words. "So yes, I am serious."

Killian's eyes moved back to the dagger, and now he was crying. He didn't remember the last time he had cried, but surely a lot of years had passed since then. He grabbed the dagger, and stood up. David nodded, and gave him a sad smile before he turned around and started walking back to Mary Margaret.

There had been one week. One week since Emma disappeared, and they had found nothing. Emma thought that her sacrifice would give everybody their happy endings, but she was so wrong.

Regina felt guilty. She was the one who was supposed to become the Dark One, not Emma. She had done so many bad things, and now she had the chance to enjoy a happy ending, while Emma had only done good things, and she didn't. Still, nobody blamed her. She remembered Emma's confession from the alternative universe, where she had said she loved Hook, and she had lost the chance to tell him that. And then they had got a new chance, but lost it again, because Emma had saved her life.

Mary Margaret and David didn't really talk about Emma's sacrifice to each other. They tried to take care of everybody, especially Henry, who had refused to eat and go to school, and read books instead. He didn't blame Regina either, but it was hard for him.

Mary Margaret occupied herself by trying to be a good mother for Neal, while the others were trying to get some informations about being the Dark One.

David also kept an eye on Killian. He had started to drink more rum again, but stayed sober. He just wanted to lessen the pain. He and Henry talked a lot, since they had been the closest things to Emma.

They spent hours in the library every day, hoping they would find something, but every day had been a failure. But they didn't give up.

They would find Emma eventually. Because this family always finds each other.
