Nyx rolled her eyes as she sat with Calypso, Abe and Hydrus in the Slytherin common room.
Hydrus was explaining to Calypso how he had saved Nyx two times so far in the past few years.
"Oh," Calypso laughed, "I knew about the first one but not the second one! You saved her when a board broke under her in the Astronomy Tower!"
Hydrus nodded, looking over at Nyx with a smirk. He had told her earlier to play along with his exaggerations and she agreed, since she had promised him such.
"Yeah, she's lucky I was asked to patrol the halls that night or she could've been seriously injured," he said, shrugging as Calypso praised him for being diligent during his patrol.
"Yep, he's my hero," Nyx said, fluttering her eyelashes at him before looking over at Calypso.
She laughed, leaning back against the green sofa she was in.
"That's so crazy," Calypso breathed, wiping away a tear that fell from her eye, "so that's why she owes you two favours?"
"One," Nyx corrected and Hydrus looked at her, confused.
"Remember? Calypso and I kept you hidden from Charlotte the day after your date," she smiled.
Hydrus nodded as he remembered, leaning back against the couch, "right, I almost forgot about that."
Nyx smiled, "good thing I remembered for us both."
Hydrus rolled his eyes and they all fell into a comfortable silence, watching the fire.
After a few minutes, Nyx yawned, looking around the room.
"What time is it?"
"A little after 7, why?" Hydrus asked.
"What?" Nyx gasped as she stood up quickly, "I have a study group I need to get to!"
She smiled apologetically to Calypso before running to the portrait that was by the Slytherin door.
The portrait moved slowly and she squeezed out, but a hand grabbed hers.
"Wait, can't you just skip it this one time?" Hydrus asked and she shook her head slowly.
"I'm sorry, I can't! I'll see you tomorrow," she said as she pulled her arm away from his softly and ran down the hallway.
She breathed deeply as the library came into view. She slowed her pace, trying to straighten out her robe that twisted around her while she had been running.
She sighed as she walked into the library, seeing a group of three sitting at a far table.
She smiled as she took a seat across from them, looking over at the books in front of them.
"I'm sorry I'm late," she said as she grabbed a scroll of parchment and a quill to write out notes.
"No worries," Kaylee said as she pushed her glasses up, looking over the books.
Nyx smiled as she settled in, writing out notes for their Potions midterm.
After two hours, Nyx yawned and got up. Her hand felt sore from writing so much.
"I'll see you in class," she said to Kaylee, who was the last to stay.
Kaylee waved goodbye and Nyx smiled, walking out of the library.
"Nyx!" A voice yelled behind her and she sighed, turning to face Grimwell, a sixth year Hufflepuff.
His hair swayed as he ran up to her, his cheeky smile playing across his lips. He was a year above Calypso and the rest and for some reason, took an interest in her.
