Nyx cried as she ran, her hair and tears blinding her as she ran down various hallways.
She yelped as she ran into a hard surface and she fell back. She groaned as she looked up, seeing she was on the bridge leading out towards the Black Lake and Dark Forest.
She sighed, seeing the protective barrier turn a translucent blue before becoming invisible again.
"Ow," she cried as she stood up, looking out passed the barrier.
Everything looked calm and she sighed, placing a hand on the barrier. She wanted to run out to the Black Lake and hide from everyone.
She wanted to cry until she had no more tears.
She closed her eyes as she placed her forehead against the barrier, tears falling down her cheeks.
As Nyx opened her eyes, she found herself by the Black Lake.
"What?" She asked as she spun in a circle, looking around.
"How did I get here?" She thought, wondering if she had teleported herself from the bridge to the lake.
"The bond has been sealed," a voice spoke and a shiver ran down Nyx's spine.
She recognized the voice from her dreams from over the summer. Cold swept over her body as she looked around.
"Who are you?" She asked, peering out at the dark lake, only hearing the small waves crash against the sandy shore.
"The bond has been sealed. Their fates are now intertwined," the voice spoke again and Nyx turned, facing the only tree by the lake.
"I don't know what that means," she cried out in frustration as she took a small step towards the tree.
"A bond made out of unspoken love," the voice said again, behind her.
Nyx turned quickly, looking around, trying to find the person.
"Made out of unspoken love?" She questioned, shaking her head, "that doesn't make any sense! What bond? And between who?"
The voice chuckled, "between you and your true love."
Nyx chuckled, feeling tears fall from her eyes as she looked around, "there is no bond because I don't have a true love yet!"
"Your fate was sealed during a drunken state. A bond so powerful, you can alter the fate of the war," the voice said, the voice sounding far away. Not more than a whisper.
Nyx sighed, looking around, "what war? You don't make any sense! How can I seal my fate while drunk? I only drank once!," she said as she fell to her knees.
"Please!" She called out, her voice echoing across the lake.
She sighed as her cry was met with silence. The only sound was the waves crashing on the lake.
"I don't understand," she cried, looking across the lake where she last heard the voice.
She shook her head as she looked back down at the sand, trying to figure out what the voice was talking about.
"Come back to me," another voice said and she frowned, looking around for Hydrus.
"Are you here too?" She whispered, standing slowly and wiping the sand from her robe.
"Come back," Hydrus said again, his voice more urgent this time.
"Come back how!" She cried, looking around her.
