Days turned into weeks.

Weeks turned into months.

And months turned into years.

Nyx sighed as she doodled in her creature journal, trying to sketch the Norwegian Ridgeback Dragon egg. She smiled as she sketched a shadow under the egg, putting notes beside the egg about incubation and care.

"Nyx, your twin is here!" Hagrid called from downstairs and Nyx looked out her window, seeing her twin by the front door.

She breathed happily, waving down to her quickly before disappearing back into the window. She stopped in front of Swamp's terrarium, where he was laying lazily lounging by the small pond.

He croaked at her and she smiled, "I'll see you later! Keep a good look out at everything," she giggled, knowing he would be too busy sleeping or finding food.

She smiled happily, closing her journal softly beside his terrarium and running down the stairs.

"Thanks Hagrid! I'll be back soon, I don't want to miss the eggs from hatching," she smiled before running out the front door.

The warm summer air hit her face and she breathed deeply. The smell of flowers and sweet air floated by her as a small wind blew.

"I love summer," she breathed before looking over at Calypso, who had come alone.

She wasn't surprised. She had no visitors other than Calypso, except for the curious first years who wanted to hear her story.

The headmistress did her investigation and found that the dementor was the one who took her powers, but could not prove it. Dementors were never known to be able to do that and without the exact one, they couldn't find out.

The headmistress tried her best to find a solution, but there was nothing they could do.

Nyx had come to terms with her new life after third year. Her sister was becoming stronger while she was learning the ins and outs of magical creature care.

"Calypso," she breathed, giving her a quick hug before pulling away.

Calypso laughed, "I have great news!"

Nyx laughed, "new boyfriend?"

Calypso rolled her eyes, "no! I'm still dating Noah."

Nyx smiled, remembering the first time she met Noah. He had talked to her a few times after the sorting ceremony incident and was there for Calypso when she couldn't be.

He had come to Nyx one night last summer, nervous and fidgeting with his fingers.

"Hey Nyx," he whispered, shuffling his feet.

"What's wrong," she asked, wondering why he was nervous. Every time before, he was confident and nice.

"Oh nothing is wrong! I just want to ask you something," he asked, rubbing the back off his neck.

"Okay," she said slowly, leaning against the cottage.

"I want to ask Calypso out, but I don't know if she likes me or how to do it," he said quickly, looking over his shoulder to ensure Calypso wasn't coming down the path.

Nyx laighed, shaking her head, "she definitely likes you but don't tell her I told you! She talks about you a lot and she'll say yes."

He smiled happily, "that's sweet, now I don't feel as nervous about asking."

"For the way you should do it, buy some daisies and ask her by the lake. She loves daisies and thinks the lake is really beautiful at night."

He smiled, "thank you Nyx! I'll let you know how it goes, but I should get going before Calypso notices I'm gone. I don't want her to get suspicious."
