Midnight Lovers

—an emotional, late night talk leads to something more.

"What if we run away?" Hyunjin asks out of the random. Her voice is low and she turned her head slightly to look at the blonde who's laying next to her in the dark room.

Chaewon's breathing is steady and she's only closing her eyes, trying to sleep. She feels Hyunjin shuffle around next to her but chooses to ignore it.

"Wonnie..Are you asleep?" Hyunjin asks her again, this time poking her cheeks with a finger. Her eye are huge and twinkle with the help of the moon's glimmer.

Chaewon bit back a smile, it going unnoticed, and mumbles a few words, pushing the girl's hand away from her face. "Hyun, go to sleep. It's late and we have class tomorrow," She finally opens her eyes and turns so she can face the other girl. She brings a hand to cup the taller's cheek and smiles, "Let's save these questions for another night, hm?"

Hyunjin melted into the hold and let out a sigh. Being around Chaewon felt right and always made her feel okay. If she was in need of comfort or some sort of affection, she could find Chaewon and everything would be alright.

"But..What if my parents decide it's time to leave tomorrow? We didn't get to go on our date to Han River yet."

The room was too dark for Chaewon to see but she knew the girl was on the brink of tears. She knew there was a pout on her lips as she looked at her.

Chaewon furrowed her brows and gave the girl a peck on her forehead, "You overthink too much Hyun. We'll be okay if it happens, I promise. You'll visit almost every month and we'll call everyday too. If not, I'll just move with you. I'll leave everything behind just to be with you. Just don't cry okay?" She moves her hand across Hyunjin's cheek to wipe the tears that fell regardless of her words. Chaewon hears the girl sniffle and smiles, whispering comforting things and continuing to hold her.

"Y-You're so mean," Hyunjin mumbles when Chaewon laughs at her for crying. The blonde chuckles and gives her another kiss on the forehead.

A yawn, "We should head to sleep Hyun, it's late." Chaewon offers. She smiles softly at the girl who finished crying.

Hyunjin shakes her head, "I can't sleep now. Not when I'm post breakdown Chae.." The blonde holds back a laugh at her words and only nods.

"Well what do you suggest then love?"

The taller thinks for a bit. She hopes Chaewon doesn't mind her crazy ideas but of course, she knew the blonde was already used to them. "What if we like..I don't know. What if we go on that Han River date right now?" Hyunjin suggested, finger on her chin and eyes glowing with anticipation.

Chaewon stared at the girl's eyes, in search of a sign of jokes but of course, Hyunjin was being dead serious.

She let out a choked laugh and nodded, "Alright then Hyun, you're driving though!" Chaewon sat up from the bed and opened her hands for the taller to grab.

Hyunjin followed suit and up she sat. She groaned as the smaller girl lifted her up and sighed happily when she was finally up.

"You're a baby, Hyunjin." Chaewon giggled and brought a hand to the girl's face, tucking a strand of Hyunjin's messy hair behind her ear.

Hyunjin's laugh was airy and she only nodded in defeat, "Well that's why I have you. You're here to take care of me."

"Yeah..pretty much stuck with you forever I'm sure." Chaewon smiled and though it was dark, the moon's light that was shimmering through the window was just enough for Hyunjin to pick it up.
