JUNGKOOK POV
Body alive with adrenaline and lungs burning with exertion, every muscle ached as sweat poured off my heated skin.
Holy hell, I was spent.
We all took our final bow,
the shouts of, "Bravo!" and, "More!" filling the air some
thing I'd always longed for.
I was elated.
Thrilled beyond compare.
Part of a world I knew I
belonged to.
There was nothing like performing and tonight was
the culmination of one of the most challenging and most
rewarding years of my life.
With two more to go, I had
my work cut out for me.
At the same time, I knew
there was no place on earth
I'd rather be.
The man who was here,
watching me perform
had a lot to do with that.
I glanced at the end of the
front row, noting Jimin's seat
was vacant while Mom, Lisa,
Nadi and hobi were sitting
there with smiles plastered
on their faces.
Something was up.
"Where the hell is he?" I whispered under my breath.
Jimin had never missed
seeing me on stage.
This performance was
Important and he knew that.
"I'm sure he's around some where." Olivia, my dance
partner, answered with a wink before she released my hand.
She along with the rest of the cast, beat a hasty retreat
until I was left there alone.
The spotlight I stood under
then moved stage left.
"What the hell?"
I hissed and tried to remain composed, the thought of
some thing going on that
was not part of our repertoire making me feel more than
a little jumpy.
Before I had the chance to
figure out what to do next,
out of the corner of my eye I spotted a smugly smiling Tae.
He gave me a thumbs up
just as the orchestra began playing again.
Realization struck big time
once the familiar melody
of the song Jimin had been working on all those months
ago, our song, filled the air.
My already racing heart soared.
"Jimin?" I gasped the
moment he appeared.
The spotlight followed his
every move as he strode with purpose toward me, clutching
a bunch of roses which he handed to me before he
began to sing.
