i was lurking around the halls after fifth period. ever since we got back to school, i haven't seen a single sight of may.

me and katie were pretty distant lately, i've only spoken to her that night after i was at ashton's. hopefully, it'll stay that way.

i suddenly stumbled upon someone. as i looked up, it was skylar, also known as michael's former girlfriend and may's bestfriend.

"s-sorry" i stuttered to apologize.

she looked at me as if i were joking but then she smiles, "it's alright." i helped her pick up her books that she had dropped. "have you spoken to may?" skylar asked me.

"no, i haven't." i knew i didn't have to question on what she was asking because it was pretty obvious that may had remembered our kiss and after that i knew skylar would be the first to have known.

"maybe you should try talking to her or get in contact with her" skylar suggests.

"why would i wanna do that?" i inquired her.

"because a girl hates being unanswered, so don't keep her waiting" she looks me directly in the eyes. i was speechless ; at first i wanted to say something rude like the complete asshole i am but i knew she was right. the bell rings. "later."

it was lunch time and i still haven't spotted may, god where is she? this isn't hide and seek, may.

"calum!" a reckoned voice approached my way, luke, "i have to talk to you"

"then talk" not making eye contact with him and grabs a tray.

"well first, you didn't tell me you kissed may!"

my eyes scanned the room trying to find her, "yeah, so what?" answering him.

"so," luke drags, "what's happening?"

"well-"

"calum-babe!" the sound of katie's voice interrupting me and Luke's convo, "aw baby, i missed you so much!"

"yeah, um.. me too" i replied awkwardly.

luke threw up his hands in the air at her, not wanting her to be here at this exact moment ; i just shrugged and gave him a sign to wait.

"babe!" she wraps her self all around me, "what are we doing today after school?"

"after school? after school.. uh.." my words trailed on and my eyes looked around the cafeteria again, then i met eye contact with a pair of familiar brown eyes. there she was right by ashton's side. may gives me a weak smile that i've witness before and all i could do was look at her with worried eyes.

"calum? calum?" katie pushes me.

"not now!" i got her hands off of me and left.
