Luca raised the sword above his head before bringing it down towards my body. I didn't move, my body paralyzed with terror. He was finally going to do the thing he's threatened me with numerous times.

To my surprise, Luca halted in his movement, choking on his spit as the two of us turned our attention down to his stomach.

A blue hand was sticking through, drenched in Luca's blood before pulling out mercilessly. Luca gasped, falling to the floor like a rag doll revealing Kisame standing in front of me.

He chuckled loudly, a toothy grin on his lips as he stared down at Luca's bleeding frame. I stared at him in horror.

"What's with that look, Joselyn? Scared of a little blood? Or you scared of me again?" He questioned before flicking his arm that was covered in blood at me.

Specks of the red liquid splattered onto my face causing me to almost throw up the contents in my stomach.

"I can smell it." Kisame groaned to himself. "Your blood is smelling so sweet I just want to sink my teeth in."

The male kneeled down by my body, but I flinched away. "Don't fucking come near me!" I spat.

Kisame's gaze grew intense as he licked his lips with his long tongue. "Run, Joselyn. And pray to God, I never catch you."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"You can run Joselyn, but only God can help you at this point." His low guttural voice sent chills down my spine. I didn't respond, focusing on getting the hell out of there.
Kisame chuckled, his eyes narrowing down the path of the forest. "I live for the chase Joselyn! It's fueling me more!"
All the male's senses were going into overdrive. He didn't move, focusing all of his attention on his senses.
He concentrated on his hearing. The sound of my footsteps echoing through the forest as I gained distance, but he could hear them all clearly.
He focused on his sense of sight. His animalistic white orbs narrowing as everything became clearer than before. He could see the birds fly away in what felt like slow motion. The leaves broke off the branches and fluttered down to the dirt terrain.
Finally, the last thing he let increase was his nose. He let his predatory senses take over. The overwhelming stench of the forest filled his nose, but they were nowhere near as strong as the smell of my blood.
It pumped through my body rapidly as I ran through the forest. The fresh blood was so tempting, his sight becoming red as the hunger overtook him.
I was getting farther and farther away however it caused the male to grow ever more ravenous.
He could smell my sweet thick liquid from miles away. His mouth watered as all his senses focused on everything about me.
A dribble of saliva drooled down the corner of his lips before he wiped it away and fixed his stance.
Kisame was a natural-born predator who relished in hunting like the animal he was.
And I was the natural-born prey who ran for their life.
How this couldn't be any more ideal for the male. I was playing right into his fantasy.
"May God be with you, Joselyn. Because when I catch you...I won't be able to control myself."
With that he set off, his legs flinging him forward as he tracked me down with hunger and desire.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I panted heavily, my lungs burning as pain shot up through my left calf. I wanted to give up, to fall to my knees and rest but I knew that would be an automatic death.

My bare feet slammed into the muddy terrain, creating footprints that revealed when I was running. I didn't have time to cover my tracks, there could be no moment of hesitation.

I swallowed whatever saliva that was in my mouth strenuously against my sore throat as the trees and bushes flew by my face.

'Faster!'

'I have to run faster!'

I've never pushed my body like this before. I was just a normal girl with a normal life. Never in my wildest dream would I have seen myself being chased down by a half-human half-animal.

Suddenly my sore leg gave out, my whole-body colliding with the floor as I groaned out loudly.

However, I didn't have time to lay there and grovel in pain, I needed to move. I need to move now!

I grit my teeth as I looked around my area, a small burrow in the ground next to a tree could be seen.

Not wasting any time, I crawled my way to the hole, forcing my sore leg to enter first before my other and then my full body.

It was slightly cramped but thankfully large enough to fully hide my body inside. A sudden loud chuckle echoed in my ears causing my breath to be caught in my throat.

I quickly clasped my hands over my mouth as I tried my best to suppress my breathing.

Kisame's frame came into my view, his body jogging around as he surveyed the area. I held my breath however I could still feel every pump of my blood throughout my body.

"How does the chase feel, Joselyn? Isn't it exhilarating!?" He shouted, his eyes going past the burrow I was hiding in and running down that direction.

When I was sure I heard his footsteps grow quieter before becoming nonexistent, I slowly peaked my head out of the hole.

The mist was beginning to grow denser in the forest as the sun slowly began to shine brighter. A chill ran up my spine as I gradually crawled my way out.

The white dress became even dirtier with the mud, smearing everywhere and staining the designs I stitched into them.

I stood to my feet, grunting softly from the sore left leg before turning my attention to the way I came from.

If Kisame was going the way he was, I was going to go the opposite. Hopefully back into town for a wider range of protection.

I took off down the path I originally had run through. Or at least I thought at first. The scenery wasn't the same and there were no footprints on the ground.

"What?" I asked softly before wiping the sweat off my face and turning around in a circle to look at the scene around me.

The forest had split open slightly, a dark colored lake in front of me that continued deeper into the forest.

I swallowed whatever saliva was in my mouth, but it felt like sandpaper. All dry and rough from the ragged breaths that had left my lips.

Trudging over I fell to my knees in front of the shoreline and cleaned my dirty hands on my dress before cupping some of the cold water.

There wasn't a moment of hesitation as I downed the liquid, feeling it soothe the ache that was bothering me so much.

I groaned out, quickly cupping more of the water and swallowing it as if I was never going to be able to quench my thirst again.

A ghost of a sensation dragged along my finger in the water causing me to flinch slightly. "What the-"

My words were cut short when something grasped my wrist and pushed me onto my back.

Kisame shot out from the lake, water droplets falling from his blue-grey skin, and clothes as he pinned my wrist next to my head on the ground. Half of my body was out on the land while the other half was submerged in the cool pond water.

"Found you."
