Part 47 - The Pain

"I'm in love with Colby now. But I am glad that Draco is my first love. Falling in love with him make me grow into the person that I am now. Falling in love with Draco has brought me to Colby, and I also have you to thank for that. I am grateful towards Draco and you" say Millicent with her most beautiful smile.

Serenity startle. She recognises that smile. That is the smile that Millicent always displays to Colby.

"I am glad for you Millicent" say Serenity.

"Thanks. And because of just now, when I look at you. I instantly remember Draco. Well, it is not always but at the rare moment. Once before when both of you are here, as a Death Eater. It is only for a while when I look at both of you at that time. You give me the feeling that you both are in the same boat.

And just now, when I look at you, I instantly remember Draco during his first time riding a room. He looks so free, free to be himself. Just like you just now" explain Millicent.

Serenity frowns.

"Forgive me for being a sceptic, but it sounds to me as if you made it all up. You may not be in love with him Draco anymore but he is one of your oldest friends, and I think that you just miss him so much that you try to find him in anyone here, like in me" said Serenity.

Millicent sign.

"Maybe but I just say what is in my mind. But do tell me, now that you have become friends with Draco, what do you think of him?" asked Millicent.

Serenity signs and smirks.

"Like my stupid pride and ego finally been put into their place. That all this time that I thought about all the nonsense that my father and godfather says about him. Draco has the potential to be better than his father and forefathers before him. My younger self refuses to see it and when it is proven that I was wrong about Draco.

I felt so ashamed. Just who am I to judge a person just because of what their predecessors did before them? I keep calling Ronald Weasley a troll. But the truth, I am the BIGGEST TROLL here" explains Serenity helplessly.

Millicent laughs her heart out and Serenity smiles shyly.

"Draco has a long way to go but he is on the right track. With Astoria by his side, he will never stray" say Serenity confidently.

"I'm glad that you see that too. You know what, maybe you will become the most powerful sorceress of all ages. More powerful and wise them your father and godfather. Perhaps you will stand on the same par as Merlin himself if you continue to grow in wisdom like this" say Millicent confidently.

Serenity giggles.

"That sounds magnificent but only time can tell if I ever reach that point. The road to pure greatness is not an easy one" says Serenity with a soft smile, remembering her father's words not long ago.

Millicent looks at Serenity in wonder.

"Greatness can be a lonely route" add Serenity quietly.

Now it is Millicent's turn to startle at Serenity's words. In her eyes now, Serenity looks lonely.

Millicent told Hermione about her conversation with Serenity during the Quidditch practice. Serenity is not there as she is attending a Divination class. The class that neither Hermione nor Millicent takes. Hermione frowns, in deep thought of what Millicent just told her.

"Should I be worried, Granger?" ask Millicent worriedly.

Hermione flinches and looks up at Millicent.
