It has been a week since the negotiation, and the press is still buzzing over the topic. Unlike at the times of civil war, majority of the people are happy that the avengers are free of restraints. The government tried to ask 'friendlily' about where that had resided during their 'break' as they put it, but none of the avengers were dumb enough to give that away. What if they needed another 'break' from their bullshit?
Yn and Bucky have gotten ready for Wakanda, and Steve and Wanda are going with them. T'Challa did not understand why Wanda decided to go with them but when questioned, the proud witch responded with 'because I won in Rock Paper Scissors against Nat so I'm going and she's not'. Despite their jokes, it was clear that Steve is going as Bucky's opponent for if the winter soldier accidentally gets released, and Wanda's presence can also be useful. If she could read their minds and see honestly if they are recovering or not.
Before their departure, yn got a hug from many avengers, including Sam who she had pushed off a tree before.
"We'll miss you." Pepper said as she gave her a hug.
"So you better recover quick and get back here as soon as you can, got it?" Nat said half threateningly.
"We will." Yn replied, and gave them a genuine smile.
"Are you ready?" T'Challa asked as yn approached him.
"Yes, thank you, your majesty, for your offer." Yn said as she leaned down slightly for a bow, T'Challa stopped her.
"Please, T'Challa will do fine." T'Challa said with a smile. "We are all friends."
"Thank you, T'Challa." Yn said, smiling back.
They left that day under the cheers of many civilians, wishing them luck and a speedy recovery. The avengers will have two new fighters at their return. But for now, Tony had something else in mind. How is he going to file the adoption papers without yn here personally?
The first month of yn and Bucky's treatment was difficult and complicated. They were treated differently as they had different problems. Wanda is almost constantly by yn's side and Steve is also with Bucky. The Dora Milaje were working alongside Steve to ensure that when the Winter Soldier comes out as the effect of a failed attempts of control, they can hold him down and break him free of mind control. Yn and Wanda constantly worked on her mental state and making sure that she can recognise and manipulate her own emotions.
During the second month, Bucky have been freezed in ice for analysis, and Yn started going through different things to make her truly feel the emotions she can now recognise. This included from everyday things such as cooking and shopping, to more specialised things like taking care of children, much to her dismay.
After half a year have passed, yn sent a message back to the avengers compound to say that she's okay and explains how Bucky's getting along. Her response from Tony was a picture of the adoption papers that he had signed, beside his signature of her name that he had written down in her place. This picture alongside a smiley face emoji. She couldn't help but smile of that, she's starting to really admire his determination and way of thinking. Bucky had been unfrozen and had another new, purple arm made by Shuri that has an emergency stop remote in preparation.
Their first year of staying in Wakanda passed and the avengers came to visit them in Wakanda, they spent a week there with them meaning their treatments were postponed for a week. When they departed, yn left with the avengers due to her success at overcoming the new difficulties. T'Challa and Shuri believes that it is better for her to try adjusting to the normal society. Wanda was asked to stay and help with Bucky's treatment, which she accepted.
The first month of yn's return caused quite a bit of a wave in society, some were worried that she might go all serial killer on them and others were dying to see her around. Either ways by the second month everyone was fine with her around, sometimes a few civilians passing would ask to take a picture together. Bucky's slowly getting better too. Shuri had been working on his mental health and stability, believing that that was the best defence he will have against the Winter Soldier.
Finally after two years of work, Bucky successfully remained himself as Ayo muttered the trigger words, meaning that he have passed the first trials. The next few attempts they tried on his also failed to bring out the winter soldier, and this meant that the purple arm was taken off, and replaced with an actual vibranium arm that won't be remotely controlled. This was posted on to all social media by the avengers and it soon spread all across the globe, that the Winter Soldier is now the White Wolf.
The team flew eagerly to Wakanda to greet them and take them back, this resulted in them having a party at the avengers compound the second day they got back. It was a celebration of this success, and T'Challa, Shuri and the Dora Milaje were all invited. Though of course, none of the Dora Milaje really partied, they just stood outside to ensure of their king and princess' safety.
Words traveled faster than wind, and all media were celebrating and congratulating Bucky and Yn's success and their new titles as part of the avengers team.
After their return, they completed many missions against Hydra and other terrorist associations, saving many people. And actually, now that she's been through all the other emotions and feelings, she became much closer to all the avengers, especially Bucky and Steve. Most of the missions they went on together. Aside from this Wanda also developed her relationships with Vision, finally announcing this to the team.
Everything seemed to be going swimmingly, until one day, a terrified and injured Bruce Banner comes falling in from the ceiling at the Sanctum.

Sorry for not clarifying earlier, but in this story, Wanda is already the scarlet witch and have discovered it during her time before yn joined. Also the infinity war and endgame timeline won't really be followed, like, I'm not gonna be having Tony, Nat and Vision dying 🤣 they're too dear to me 😭
