Becoming his (Bucky x yn x Steve)

06. Whats happening?

(Yn's POV) - slightly longer than other chapters, but it's what has happened since and even a little before the beginning but in yn's perspective.

Blood was dripping off her hands as she knelt before Zola, waiting for instructions. Her body language suggested calmness and submission, though her mind felt muffled. She can't seem to understand what is happening. Part of her is fighting against the feeling, yet another part of her swayed to every word the man said.

"Stand, yn." Zola ordered, once seeing yn stood up and ready to comply to his instructions, he smiled. Then he filled out a file and handed it over to her. "The man in the files, I want you to bring him back. Eliminate all who stands in your way."

"Yes sir." Yn replied, taking the file and returning to her room, analysing the file closely. James Buchanan Barnes, the Winter Soldier. Close friend of Steven Grant Rogers, Captain America. Once she knew what to do, she left for the jets and began tracking down her target.

It wasn't that hard to find a Bucky, especially not when he's with Steve, driving away from the most chaotic place at the moment n the most obvious plane. Especially without stealth mode or any form of advance technology to hide their trace. For yn, it was too easy. She began shooting the plane, hoping that once they realise they're being chased, they'd land the plane in precaution as otherwise the plane would crash, but the stubborn pair of super soldiers chose to wait until the plane is ready to explode.

Her eyes detected the fallen men faster than the monitors, and by the time she's jumped out of the plane, they had already fallen quite a distance. Without hesitation, she grabbed them both with her hands and dragged them down safely. She noticed Bucky's mumbles, she also didn't miss Steve' looks of precaution. Bucky's voice sounded somewhat familiar, but she couldn't grasp where or why she'd recognise it. Perhaps because he also used to be in Hydra?

Once they had landed, she analysed the super soldiers to ensure that she didn't attack the wrong person, and then she took them down. It's not hard to take down a pair of soft super soldiers when you can literally go through physical matter as well as mimicking. Which is why it didn't take long before both of them were down, vulnerable with no defence against her.

"Eliminate all who stands in your way." Zola's voice echoed in her head, constantly reminding her of her mission. With this poisonous indoctrination filling her mind, she swung the dagger towards Steve. The man looked at her like a lost puppy, as if he didn't have a clue what just happened and how it happened.

"Stop it! I know I'm your target and you want me alive. If you kill him, I'll kill myself. And you'll never complete your mission." The Winter Soldier's words forced her hands to halt as she turned in annoyance, facing the man who just threatened her with his own life. Yn looked at Bucky, feeling a little mixed up inside. Now she's gonna have to take back two men. Which is probably gonna be hard to explain to Zola.

It was, of course, a rather difficult conversation she had with Zola upon her return. "So you brought back Captain America because the Winter Soldier said he'd kill himself if you killed Rogers?"

"Yes sir, I must complete my mission at all cost." Yn replied, bowing down her head and hiding her eyes from the man's view. She doesn't know why she felt like she should hide away, but one thing that she does know is that when she felt slightly relieved when she was essentially forced to not kill Steve, part of her let go of a breath that she didn't know she had been holding.

In front of her, Zola remained silent, staring at the girl as if trying to spot a crack on an egg. After a moment when the girl remained still and unspoken, he signed. He raised a hand and placed it on her shoulder. "Very well, you shall be back later to tend to these men. Their accommodation and everyday need will be taken care of by you. If anything is to happen, it's on you."
