Im at home finally home.

I can finally sleep and rest tommorow.

I was cooking dinner when suddenly i heard the door slowly unlock.

I held the knife on my hand tightly moving slowly towards the exit.

I saw a figure.

I grabbed it by the chin raising its head hight resting the sharp blade on its neck.

"NO WAIT!" she yelled in panic.

I pushed my self back away and threw the knife from my hand (Dangerous and foolish action).

"Jenna!?"My mind raced

"Oh my god im so sorry are you alright?"

I said rushing forward again taking her face in my hands examining for cuts on her neck.

"Im fine im fine" she said pushing my hands of off her.

I moved back and collected myself realizing i was being too touchy.

"You should text me next time, i wasn't expecting company."

" Trust me i will"

"Why are you here?"i said becoming cold remembering all the time she had me lingering for a simple text. Its been a while i might miss her but my attraction is more mature now im not acting foolishly.

"I wanted to see you before i went home"

I stayed silent

"I see my father has rubbed off on you" she smiled.

"Care for a drink?"

She raised a bottle of red wine she was holding.

"Ill bring the glasses"

I went in the kitchen and closed the stove. Grabbing two glasses and a few nuts.

She was set in the table on my small balcony.

"Aren't you cold?" I exclaimed sliding the balcony door shut.

"No, come sit with me"

I set the snack and the glasses on the table sitting across jenna as we are both looking up ahead in the night sky.

"Is something bothering you, you look frustrated" she said, apparently she has been looking at me for a while.

"Are you sure you want to hear this? Cause i cant see anything good coming out of it"

She was frustrated too now but nodded a slow yes.

"You made me a promise which you broke"

"Im really really sorry"

"I cant believe that Jenna"

"I was very busy"

"NO ONE IS TOO BUSY TO NOT BE ABLE TO CALL THEIR FATHER JENNA" i shouted turning my head facing her banging my hand in the table a red whine spilling on the marble.

"JENNA HE WAS WAITING ABOVE THE PHONE FOR HOURS DAY AFTER DAY AFTER DAY AND MY FOOLISH ASS SAT BY HIS SIDE ASSURING HIM YOU MIGHT CALL TOMMOROW."

"I-"

"and then out of all the stunts you could have pulled you come in here all happy to see me with your little bottle of wine"

"WHY ARE YOU HERE JENNA?! WHY ARENT YOU HOME EXHAUSTED HAPPY TO SEE YOUR FAMILY?! DID YOU GET OF THE PLANE AND FELT LIKE HAVING A LITTLE SEX BEFOREHAND?!"

"Im sorry" she said her voice weak.

"I am sorry as well, for yelling." I said now calmer running my fingers through my hair so they stop blurring my vision.

"I should go"

"No its 3am Jenna, its late. Go inside you can sleep in the guestroom its always clean. I dont want you driving at this hour in this part of town. Too many drunks" i stated bluntly.

My heart is on fire and my throat sore. My right hand is shacking.

Fuck.

"I really should go"

"Jenna im already a wreck dont make me have to spend all night worried not knowing if youre alright"

"Fine"

As soon as i unleashed my anger i had turned my head back to the shining city.

"Id like to be alone for a bit if you dont mind" i said.

"Ill be inside then"

"thank you"

As soon as i heard the door slide shut i relaxed my posture positioning my right still trembling hand above my eyes and closing them. My left arm resting on the table tapping the previously spilled wine.

I stood there for a while just listening to the sound of the wine and the few cars that passed by.

I leaned back and tears rolled down my face and as time passed more and more appeared.

I had my eyes covered again now trying to calm myself my heart was torn both from what Jenna did and the way i reacted to it.

The reality right then and there was only one.

I was very hurt and my pain revolved around the woman currently in the other room.

I looked up to the sky my eyes opening as the last tears dried on my face.

"Is love really worth it?"
