Enjooooyyyy, many of you wanted Jai to go to jail, so...

_

"You've got the wrong person! Let go of me!"

I bit my lip to stop myself from lunging forward and freeing Jai being dragged out of my apartment by two cops. "Lily! Help!", he continued to shout, making the guilt build up inside my stomach. "Let me just say one last thing to her for God's sake!", he glared at the cops who, in return, just rolled their eyes and nodded. "I love you."

My stomach dropped at the fear and sadness in his eyes as the cops pulled him forward again, this time Jai just went along with them, out of my apartment. I was alone once again, feeling isolated as ever, knowing Jai can't visit anymore. And the thoughts of Maddison no longer being here sunk in, once again.

Silence definitely isn't my best friend. Sometimes it can even be violent to certain people as negative thoughts make their way into their head. Which is how many people end up depressed. The thoughts, they make you hate yourself. Thankfully, I was far from hating myself. I just hate certain things about myself. For one, I had Jai, an innocent person, arrested.

Even if Jai wasn't innocent, neither was Luke. Luke was far from innocent at this stage but I didn't have the heart to not forgive him since, I could tell most of it wasn't his fault. I still needed to talk to him about the incident in the elevator, though. Because, that could be a massive discovery as to why he is the way he is.

He said he would've killed me if he didn't love me. So I guess he also kills people who figure out the whole talking to himself situation so no one really knows what's happening in his mind. I might've just had the key to unlock a whole new perspective to Luke, which is what I was hoping to achieve.

I was already all dressed up from the previous night before sneaking off to the police station. I led them to Daniel's body and they scanned the fingerprints on the the cup and then on his body, finding that they matched, much to my dismay. I headed out of my apartment block, on my way to work. Every morning, I used to go get take away coffee and walked from there to the institution.

Jai always made my coffee, since he worked there.

I sighed at the thought of him being in jail for years, thanks to me. I pulled on my jacket before sitting on my motorcycle. I placed on my helmet and drove of, letting the wind through my hair somewhat calm me down. After parking in front of the coffee shop, I got my coffee as quickly as possible, which was hard to do. Only Jai knew how I liked my coffee and I had to explain it to the other employee and she messed up once, putting too much milk in. And the second time was just as bad, but I just took it anyway.

I thanked her and walked to the institution, which only took about 10 minutes. By that time, my coffee was already finished, so I threw it in a public bin before entering the automatic slide doors of the institution. "Morning Lily!"

I mentally groaned before plastering on a fake smile and responding, "Morning, Ms. Rivers." I walked up to the elevator as usual, pressing the button for it to open. Once it opened, I was once again in the same space as that creepy 6 year old girl. (A/n: go to the chapter "exploring the house" to see what she looks like, without the blue skin and blood lmao)

I bit my lip, before stepping in and pressing the button to go to the third floor. "Good morning, Lily." She chirped, surprisingly. "U-Uh, morning." I smiled slightly, more of a frightened smile to be honest. Since when does she know my name? "I've heard a lot about you." She spoke as the elevator moved up. "And I've decided you're worth the spare. So no need to be frightened of me."

I was honestly shocked with how good her vocabulary was but I was too curious to let the shock show on my face. "From who have you heard about me?" I scrunched my eyebrows, looking down at her. "The one and only, Mr. Brooks." She smirked, crossing her arms. "Since when do you two talk?" I asked, still in shock.

"Since I was four and I was at a park. Mum went to go get her wallet in her car so that we could purchase ice cream. He came from out of nowhere and told my that mum's been injured. Me being the stupid four year old I was," she scoffs before continuing. "I believed him and let him take me to wherever my "mum" told him to.

"Oh", was all I could blurt out, not asking any more questions.

Once the elevator doors opened, I walked out without looking back at all. "Tell him I said hi!", I heard the girl shout from behind me. I walked ever so slightly faster to get to Luke's cell.

"Luke?", I called while unlocking the cell door. I heard a hum in response, relieved for some reason to hear his voice, even if it was just a little hum. I sighed as I finished pushing open the heavy door, feeling my arms being a bit sore from it.

I dusted my knees before looking up, seeing Luke lying down with his face mushed into his pillow. "Luke?", I stepped forward cautiously, making sure to stay calm and quiet. Luke hummed again, his back moving up when doing so. I held back a chuckle before walking towards him a bit more to the point where I sat next to him on the bed, just looking at his head of curls. His hair has been growing a bit.

"Leave me alone, I'm in a shit mood.", he grumbled. I sighed, still staring at the back of his head. "No. I'm going to try to lighten your mood, or at least get your mind off of what's making you in a shit mood." I saw Luke shaking his head. "No, leave. Please.", he pleaded into the pillow. "No." "Yes! Get out!", he lifted his head and turned it towards me.

"Why aren't you scared of me? Have you forgotten I'm a killer?", he said softly, a subtle smirk evident on his lips. "Uh- no." I shook my head. The was a small silence, me looking around the still spotless room and the hole Luke punched a while ago in the wall filled in. "Lily, please get out.", he tried again, making me just shake my head. "We have counselling in a few minutes."

"Get out!", he sat up, followed by standing up also, looking down at me. I gulped, memories from when Luke and I first met came flooding back. He has physically hurt me before, there is no reason for him not to do it again. He grabbed my wrists, pulling me up roughly. A squeak escaped my mouth as he pushed me up against the wall.

He shut his eyes tightly, clenching his jaw tightly. "No.", he whimpered, his bottom lip forcing itself from jutting out in a pout. I breathed heavily, my chest heaving against his own. "Lily." He spoke a bit more calm, but his voice shaking slightly. "Y-yes?"

He shut his eyes even tighter if that was possible and a small sob escaped his mouth as he faced the floor. The sight was heart-breaking. "You know how all the bad things I do, I don't really mean them?", he whispered, still facing the floor with his eyes closed, sniffing slightly. "Yes?"

"I forced Jai to kill Daniel."
"Wha-"

"Wait! Hear me up here." His voice cracked even more. "If I take the blame, I'll be executed. I'm on my last chance here!" My heart stopped slightly when those words made their way into my brain. "E-exec-cuted?", I whimpered, Luke nodding shamefully. "I can't believe this. When was Daniel killed?"

Luke just sobbed once more, gasping slightly for air. "Answer me!" I said sternly, remembering Daniel's body being rotten slightly. "A long time ago, okay?!", he backed away from me, looking at me in the eyes. His eyes were pink and puffy and he was taking fast and short breaths in order to calm down. "And now I made my brother go to Jail for.. life most likely." He gulped, before continuing.

"I love you Lily, but I know you love Jai. I'm going to take the blame, which is only fair because it was my fault." He confessed, biting his lip, shutting his eyes tightly again, breathing in heavily. "No! You're not going to have to do that. I'll find a way to bail Jai out, okay? Please, don't take the blame."

"I wouldn't want to live in a world where the only person I love doesn't love me back."

"I do love you!" I said this so many times with no meaning at all, but I feel as if, maybe I convinced myself to actually loving this imperfect mess in front of my eyes at that moment.
