It was a cold, scary night.

The streets were deserted and it was raining lightly.

As I was driving, I noticed a figure of a teenager, he was wearing a black hoodie that covered his eyes.

I shrugged it off and kept driving.

I drove on until I saw the same figure again, facing me, his grin looking very similar.

Arriving in front of my apartment block, I heard running.

Fast running.

I bolted around and saw no one, when I turned back the same figure I saw before was standing quite a distance away, same grin played on his lips.

I closed my eyes and shook my head and opened my eyes to see I was just imagining it.

I quickly ran up to my door as it was pouring down with rain at the moment, thunder striking making me jump a little.

I grabbed my key out of my bag and unlocked the block's door.

Running up the stairs as quickly as I can because I was terrified.

Reaching my front door, I frantically knock. Only a few seconds later Maddison opened the door with a worried expression.

She pulled me in and slammed the door shut, preventing the coldness coming into our cozy apartment.

Sat on the couch, Maddison wrapped a towel around my shoulders as I was dripping wet.

I shut my eyes as I shivered and my teeth chattered continuously.

Feeling the couch sink beside me, I open my eyes to find Maddison handing me a mug of hot chocolate and turning on the TV.

"So how was your day Lily?" She smiled as she watched the telly.

"It was... Interesting." I shrug and take a sip of my hot chocolate, slightly burning my tongue.

"Have you started working with a patient yet?" She looks over at me.

I just nod as I take another sip, burning my tongue again. Shit!

"Oh! Who is it?" She gets excited.

"L-Luke Br-Brooks" I stutter as I was shivering so much.

"LILY?! WHAT THE FUCK YOUR PATIENT IS MELBOURNE'S PSYCHO!" She panics.

The lights shudder on and off a few times and then the room went pitch black.

"L-Lily? Are you okay?" Maddison asks.

I could see her figure in the darkness sitting next to me.

"Yes" I reply, taking my hand in hers to assure that I'm okay.

"We must just be having a power outage." I state, trying not to scare myself nor Maddison.

Thunder booms outside and Maddison and I shriek as we fall into each other's arms. I decide to stand up and look out of the window to the streets to see if the power is out everywhere. And yes, the streets lights aren't even on.

The thunder booms again and lightning strikes in the distance. The lightning made me see a dark figure standing in the middle of the streets below me.

I was done, this was too much and a tear made it's way down my cheek.
