19 - Horrifying

I'm not even going to make a long list of excuses, I'm just going to apologise for not updating in forever. To make up for it, here is a long-ass chapter.

*Later that day*
Lily's P.O.V

It has been a few hours and the sun has started to set already. The wind blew, making a whistling noise as it blew through the crooks of my windows

"Luke?" I called out, standing in my bedroom. There was no answer. He has been quiet for a while now and I have been ignoring it but I felt the worry creep upon me.

I slowly stepped forward, trying to keep a low profile. I sneaked out of my room, hoping not to see Luke there. As my head poked around the corner and I saw he wasn't there, I stood up straight and sighed in relief.

Walking directly into the living room, the wind blew my bedroom door shut, making me jump in fright. I gulped and blinked slowly before turning back around to find a little piece of paper on my couch.

I scrunched my eyebrows before snatching it and reading:

"Back where I belong, for now. I shall return for you"

I didn't know what to think, he can't be coming back for me. I needed to get my mind off of things so I walked into the bathroom to take a relaxing bath just to find blood in my sink.

I screamed as I ran out, my heartbeat increasing tremendously, second by second. I fell to the floor, clenching onto the couch for dear life as I felt my lungs closing in. As I gasped for air, my hands cramped.

"Leave me alone!" I screamed, trying to get up. I felt as've I was being pushed down onto the floor. Giving up on trying to get up, my breathing was limited and I was in such a panicky state.

"Please! Leave me alone!" I yelled again and all pressure on my body was lifted. I looked up confusingly, was it over? I slowly pulled myself up onto my feet.

Clumsily walking to the bathroom, there was no sign of blood in the sink whatsoever. But there was a stench of blood, diffusing throughout the room. "Oh god." I put my hand in front my mouth and nose, quickly scurrying out of the bathroom.

The smell soon travelled around the whole apartment, I couldn't handle it! "Ugh." I scrunched my eyebrows as I grabbed a jacket and head out of the door whilst putting it on.

As I walked the streets, I decided to go to the cafe that Madison works at. I pulled my jacket's sleeves, covering my hands as it was very cold outside. The sun has fully set and there was a light mist lurking around the night.

The cold air burning my throat as my lips chapped from the weather, breathing deeply. Once I arrived at the café, Madison wasn't behind the counter. I awkwardly stepped in, a few heads turning to my direction. I always make a fool out of myself, especially in public.

The café was really cute and cozy, with a fireplace, that wasn't lit at that moment, leather couches and things as such. Walking up to the counter, I scrunched my eyebrows in confusion as I saw another piece of paper on the counter. I picked it up and read:

Surprise in 5 mins x

So I stood and waited for the 'suprise' that Madison has planned for me. After a few minutes, the manager of the café came up behind the counter. "What are you waiting for?" He rudely asked. "Um, Madison, an employee." I smiled, trying to be nice to this prick.
