The whole crowd was in shock with everything that just went down. Along with Romina and Merek but Romina coudn’t have been any more happier in that moment. Except that feeling soon turned to rear when her parents started barking orders to the guards.
“Get Them!” They shouted making all the guards rush to the four girls.
“We need to start now! Elowyn you first!” Khloris shouted as they started shooting all the guards. “Tell Romina your deepest memories with her!”
“My favorite memory would probably be the first day we met! It was the first day of second grade, me and my parents just moved here. You were hanging out with Khloris in miss Beverly’s room. There was a group project assignment we had to do though.”
“You and Khloris obviously partnered but you didn’t have a third so you added me! The same day we went to your house and I was amazed! You were different than regular royal people and we got bisccuts and finished the project with some messing around of course! That is when I knew you were one of my best friend choices!”
The guards were moving closer and closer in. They still had two more people and memories to go to get Romina back to herself. With Elowyn’s story you could tell that it helped a bit but she was still super lost and it hurt her head trying to let the memories flood back into her brain.
“Who is next?” Annika asked.
“You can go! I got your back,” Khloris shouted.
“My favorite memory would have to be the field of flowers that we all discovered together not long after you joined us in the woods. You were just figuring yourself out after getting out of here and you didn’t even see a flower field until that day. I still remember how your eyes looked being lit up by the rays of light from the flowers petals. The big smile planted on your face, that’s when I knew you were home there. After that the flowers always gave me that sense of joy, it’s my favorite place and happy place now. That spot and moment is when we first became a family. Your my family Romina and I am not leaving without you!”
The guards were basically almost on top of them now at this point. The memory that Annika told Romina had a stronger affect. When she was telling it Romina fell to her knees holding her head in pain remembering it. It still wasn’t enough though.
“Jovian your up!” Khloris, Annika and Elowyn shouted.
“Okay umm I will try to do this without breaking down. Romina there is sooo many good memories I have had with you since we first met. From day one of you being on guard and super stressed when you first arrived to when you became my girlfriend and we shared our first kiss. The best memory of all though was when you asked me to be your girlfriend and how our dreams were connected under the willow tree looking up at the stars. That night our dream came true and we slept together and cuddle, actually waking up together this time and not a lie like in the dream. Nothing else matter when we are together Romina, I love you and I always will! Please come back to us, to me!”
This memory almost broke the curse but it was missing just one more thing. The spell not only needed three good memories from people close but also one painfull memory, one that will stick with them forever. There was one person who knew what that memory had to be.
“Khloris! Why isn’t Romina back yet?”
“I… don’t…know.” Khloris said.
“What do you mean!” They all shouted.
“It asked for three good memories from people close but ohhhh.”
“Oh what?” Annika asked.
“Please don’t hate me for this Annika. Romina, my memory is the letter:"
Dear Khloris, there is something I need to tell you, and I hope that you feel the same way. This can also be super dangerous, but I can't hide it anymore. I am done hiding who I am and how I feel. We have been friends for forever now, but I think I am starting to get bigger feelings than just friends now. I love the way you give me butterflies and warmth. You are my safe spot, my person. I want to call you mine, so with that said, will you be my girlfriend?
Khloris had the letter from Romina in her pocket forgetting that it was there for this moment. She knew that she had to do this but she was hopping with the memories that she didn’t have to. She didnt want Annika to hate her since she finally found somone she cares about and someone who feels the same way. Reading it out loud she felt the pain and gult that she did back then as it started to make her feel sick to her stomach. After reading it she looked up and Romina and she could see that the spell was broken but she looked just like she did last time this happened and it broke Khloris.
“Romina I am so so sorry. I did feel the same for you back than but we were young and I was so scared of being hanged and losing the family that I made for myself. You guys were my family and I didn’t wanna mess any of that up. I should of never told your dad though or betray you like that. I am so sorry and I really do miss you as my friend and my sister.”
Romina walked down to them now but because of the eclipse coming in Romina ganed a new power that she didn’t know she could do. Time froze around them stopping everything in place except for her. The guards her friends all the gust frozen like ice like a pause in a movie. She walked up knocking the guards down one by one and grabbed Khloris pulling her out of the trance, giving her a hug.
“I forgive you Khloris and I miss you to.”
“Really…” Khloris said hugging back with happy tears.
“Yes, me leaving gave me time to think and process things and I understand why you did what you did. It may have been rude and mean but it’s in the past now.”
Afterwards she went over to the others and pulled them out of the trance to. They all ran up to her and gave her a big group hug that felt like it lasted a whole hour long. Then when the hug was done Romina grabbed Jovian and pulled her in and swinging her into a kiss.
“I miss you all! Also Jovian I could always feel your connection to me, even when I was under that spell. Under the spell though I just didnt know why it was there and what it ment but you were always there.”
“Romina…I have something to tell you. Please don’t hate me again,” Khloris said.
“Umm okay, will try but no promises.”
“Me and Annika are a thing now, I hope that’s okay.”
“WHAT! That’s awesome! I am so happy for both of you!” Romina said both giving them a hug.
“I missed you man.” Annika said
“Me to, I needed my partner in crime back,” Elowyn said.
“We all missed you,” Jovian said.
