The Eclipse Princess

Chapter ten

           That morning Romina was still awake from earlier in the night but Jovina was still passed out with her head resting on Romina’s chest and her arm wrapped around her body. She looked so peaceful that Romina didn’t wanna wake her up just yet they didn’t have to be out to train for another like twenty minutes anyways. Romina just rested her head on the pillow looking up at the ceiling still stressing out and seeing the visions of what was going to happen today but she knew she had to stay strong if this was going to work and since she knows what will happen she is going to try to change it. 

       Soon the twenty minutes passed by what seemed like a flash and it was time to get up and get ready. Romina sat up a little bit making Jovina groan a little from the movement making Romina smile a little. She then started to nudge Jovina a little bit while kissing the tip of her nose until she woke up with a smile matching Romina’s. 

                   “Why must you wake me up?” Jovina questioned as she turned to look at Romina waiting for a response. 

                    “You know I didn’t want to but it is time to train. I gave you an extra twenty minutes.” Romina said. 

                    “Oh yeah, you ready?” Jovina said knowing Romina’s answer already. 

                     “Definitely not!” 

       They sat for a few minutes before making their way up and to the closet to get changed. Jovina still didn’t have any clothes yet in Romina’s room so Romina let her borrow some of here's again, she looked better in them anyway in Romina’s opinion. 

                   “Might as well just move into my room.” Romina tessed 

                   “Oh I just might have to.” Jovina tessed back pulling Romina in for a kiss. 

       After they got dressed into their clothes they made their way outside where Annika was waiting for them and to get their armor for their clothes. This was to try to protect them from anything that could puncture the skin but they weren’t that stong still having them be super careful. 

                   “There you guys are!” Annika said, running over to them with the ammor. 

                “Someone wanted to sleep just a little longer.” Romina said nudging Jovina 

                “Ahhh I seee.” Annika said playing along 

                “Shut up both of you!” Jovina said laughing “You guys are so childish!” 

       They were all laughing now when they made their way over to get their bows, arrows and daggers. Joking around made it seem like a normal day to Romina but she still couldn't get the feeling of today off her mind. Both Jovina and Annika were worried about her, definitely Jovina because of what happened last night. After hitting some targets for a while and getting some food they made their way back to the village. When they got there they saw Khloris still knocked out on the ground where Romina left her. 

               “Dang how hard did you punch her?” Annika asked impressed 

               “Just long enough…” Romina said, watching as Khoris started to wake up. 

               “Not cool Romina!” Khloris said as she sat up slowly from the ground still dizzy. 

               “Come on big baby, get up and lead the way!” 

      They were going to have bags over their face and ropes around their wrist to be able to sneak into the dungeon. Khloris was going to sneak them in by saying she has a few prisoners to be taken to the dungeon orders from the king.  When they got in they were going to knock out the guard, take his key and save Elowyn making a run back to the forest while Khloris waits for Romina’s dad and tells him what happened. They made it into the dungeon before Khloris removed the ropes and bags from their heads and wrists. 

               “You know I could have just thrown you guys in here.” Khloris said 

               “Yeah, but deep down you know you still care about me.” Romina said in a baby voice. 

               “Whatever.” Khloris said “The cell is right down this way, watch your backs.” 

      They walked down the long hallway that felt never ending before they got to the cells where they put everyone that is going to be hung. There is a door before you get to the cells with a guard who guards the door from anyone entering or exiting. He was pretty built and had a broadsword hanging on the side of his belt. 

                “Okay guys on the count of three we shoot, one…two… 

                “Three!” Annika said as she ran at the guard shooting her bow. 

                “Annika! We weren’t ready! Romina shouted following Annika with the others not far behind. 

                        “Not my fault you guys are slow,! Maybe if you did cardio in the morning instead of sleeping in you could keep up.” Annika teased again looking at me and Jovian.

                        “Whatever.” Romina and Jovian said together. 

       When they reached the guard he was dead which made it super easy for them to get the key and take the sword hooked onto his belt. They turned their key in the lock opening the door with a loud scratching sound as it slid on the rocks beneath them. When they got in they saw Elowyn in one of the back cells, the only person even in here. 

                “Elowyn!” Romina said, running up to her cell.

                “Romina? What are you doing here?” Elowyn questioned. 

                “We are here to break you out! I am sorry for you even getting in this mess.” Romina said as she unlocked Elowyn’s cell. 

                “You can’t be here, it is a trap.” Elowyn said 

                “I know I had a plan.” Romina whispered in Elowyn’s ear as she pulled her into a hug. 

                        “Romina…” Elowyn said knowing what she was planning to do. “You're not doing   that.” 

                “I have no choice.” Romina said pulling away from the hug with a small smile “I’ll be okay.” 

       Soon everyone else came in for a hug except Khloris of course she has to keep up her tough girl act but Romina can see past that. They started to make their way out of the dungeon just like in Romina’s dream before she heard her dad scream her name. They all started to run except for Romina making Annika and Jovian stop in place as Elowyn made it safely. 

                 “Jovian, I love you.” Romina said giving her a nod that it would be okay 

                “I love you too.” Jovina whispered to herself trying to run towards her. Annika on the other hand did. 

       Romina didn’t see this in her dream because she was changing it. Looking at Annika and back to her dad he was aiming his bow but before she was able to figure out who he was aiming it at it was too late. The bow released from the arrow traveling through the wind past Romina and into Annika’s side. Romina was starting to run towards Annika but before she could get far enough she was knocked out.
