They finally made it back to the others in the garden and Khloris told them that they had to go to the meeting hall, everyone because she had a plan to help Romina and this whole mess of stuff going on. So they stopped what they were doing and headed to the hall right away and waited for Khloris to start speaking about her plan. She started to explain about the spell and how it needed three people close to her to break the spell that the queen put on to her. It ended up confusing everyone there though.
“Any questions?” Khloris asked as many hands went up in the air.
“Okayyy umm Jovian you first.”
“What do you mean with the three friends, What do we do?” Jovian questioned.
“Well basically you need strong memories that connect you to her. Strong enough that when you talk about it the memory will bring a piece of her back. Think of the memories like puzzles that need to go together to make a whole. The whole is her mind and the pieces are the memories. Any more questions?”
“I got one,” Annika said.
“Okay go ahead!”
“How will we get close to Romina to do this?”
“Good question, there is a rehearsal wedding tonight at the castle. I think that will be one of our best shots. Good news is it is not for like another five hours so enough time to get our stuff, head down and set up. Anymore questions?”
“I do,” Elowyn said
“What’s up?”
“Am I going on this mission to? Or who is the three needed to do this.”
“I can’t believe I skipped that part! It will be Annika, Jovian and yes you. I can’t because I don’t have that bond with her anymore like I did when we were little because of well… you know. Is that all your questions?” Khloris said laughing.
“We all just have one more.” The other people in the village said.
“Shoot!”
“What do we do here to prepare for your arival back?”
“Make lots of food and have doctor on stand by just in case!”
With all the questions answered they made there ways back to there rooms to get ready for battle. In Jovian and Romina’s room Jovian kept trying to connect to Romina’s mind and get into it somehow but it was like she was locked out, like she has had no connection to her since the queen put the spell on her. Making her mad she threw one of her shoes at the wall in frustration as Elowyn was walking by so she popped in the room to see what was wrong.
“You okay Jovian?” Elowyn asked
“Yeah I am fine.”
“I am no master on these things but the dent in the wall says otherwise.” Elowyn laughed making Jovian look and the dent and laugh to. Soon they were both sitting down of the floor against the bed.
“So what’s really wrong?” Elowyn asked again.
“I am afraid I won’t get through to Romina. Our connection has been altered and messed up since that spell was casted on her.”
“Your kidding right? Jovian, Romina loves you so much that she would do anything for you even go through all this so many times. She would not at all regret doing what she is doing if it protected you and all of us in the process. Trust me I know her she is my best friend even back then.”
“But what if the memories we have arn’t strong enough, not just mine but all of ours, then what?” Jovian said as a tear escaped down her cheek.
“We will get her back, there isn’t going to be any what if’s. Now lets do this thing!” Elowyn said standing up and reaching her hand out to help Jovian.
“Okay.” Jovian said grabbing her hand and getting up to.
Making there way back outside everyone was dressed and ready to mve out to the castle to get Romina and stop this crazy birthday war thing that is going on in the process. Saying bye to everyone else they headed out into the woods and not long they were at the border. Khloris told the three to follow her very quietly, people here still thinks she belongs her so she is using them as prisoners to get through.
After that they made it to the patio in the back where the big alter was on a hill right under where the eclipse is going to take place. Looking up though they could see it was already starting, how long where they in the woods! Relizing it, this will be there one and only shot to save everyone and Romina.
Back at the castle Romina wakes up in her bed with no memory of her friend or what just happened between her and her mom but she has a off feeling in her stomach that she just can’t get rid of. Like something was hidden away and she could figure out what it was or how to release it. She was going to spy on her parents so she got up earlier than when she needed to for the wedding. Sneaking through the hall ways she found a room where he parents were and where a light was still on so she got close to the crack in the door and started listening to the conversation.
“She still doesn’t know that when she gets the power from the eclipse that she can give half of it to another,” Says the king.
“So you want to trick her into giving it to use so we still have full power,” the queen says back catching on to what the kind is suggesting.
“That is the plan. Do you have a little something that can help?”
“I can check my books and get back to you.”
Before the queen left the room Romina ran quietly down the hall back to her room and into bed before they noticed that she was there. She pretended to be asleep so when they did come in they wouldn’t suspect anything. She couldnt believe that they were going to trick and lie to her though. It made her question what other stuff they could be hiding from her and what else could be in that so called book they were talking about.
