Silence

Hey everyone, before I start I just wanted to let you know. I'm not sure who the love interest in this story should be so could you please comment? I don't mind any love triangles either!

You wake up, startled by your alarm. Smashing your hand against your phone to stop the awful noise, you stretch your arms and legs to get up and ready for the morning. You open the curtains and rub your eyes at the sight. "Why are the streets so empty?" You pause to sigh and then head over to your bedside table, "Did I wake up too early?"

Checking your phone with a quick glance, your eyes go straight back to the window, "13:00!? Jeez, I slept through the whole day..." You head downstairs to let out your dog Bo, but she is nowhere to be seen. "Bo, where are you girl? Bo?"

You decide to have a look outside on the street for her but to your surprise everything was so silent.. and empty. 'Where did everyone go?' You think to yourself. In a feeling of concern, you decide it should be best to get some food before trying to find some people.

You get out your camping bag as you can never be too careful, especially if a busy city like this is all of a sudden so quiet.. You pack; Tinned cans of food, water bottles and a water filter (just in case), a sleeping bag and a few other supplies.

Back when you were a more lively person, you used to go camping with your father all of the time. That was until he passed away in a train accident. You never really got over his death and you were never the same after it.. Of course, your mother began to grow worried for you but she too passed away from a sudden disease in her lungs. After both of your parents deaths, you grew cold, the only thing that kept you happy was your little puppy, Bo. Now she has gone to..

You began to trail off onto the streets with your bag on your back, searching for at least one person so she can ask what is going on.. With just her luck, she spots three boys that seem to be around her age (18-19) looking around in confusion in the middle of the road.

You begin to walk closer to them, not bothering to shout as you were never much of a talker. You did in fact cheer up when one of the greasy haired boys saw you. "Hey there! Do you by any chance know where everyone is?" He says to you in a loud but calming voice. To know that even these people don't know what's going on makes you disappointed.

You walk up to him and reply to his question with a short "No, your the first people I have seen since I left my house." The boy looked away with a quiet "oh!" You watch the three of them closely, observing what they were talking about. You always liked to know how people act so you could tell what kind of person they were.

You all sat down on the road for a quote a while, so long in fact that it began to become dark. Still, even in dark you couldn't hear nothing except the small laughs coming from the three boys.

The tall and ginger looking one caught you staring and was about to say something about it when all of a sudden, upon a building there read the letters;

~Welcome players, the game will commence in a short moment, this way to the game arena -> ~

"Game?" The tall one of the three questions quietly, In quick curiosity the three boys decided that they were going to check it out and see what this 'game' is, "Would you like to join us?" The greaseball asked you. You nodded your head, trying to keep as shelled up as possible and joined with them. "My name is Arisu, and those are my two friends; Chōta Segawa and Daikichi Karube." They give you a short wave but Arisu continues looking at you as if he was waiting for a reply. "Y/N, Y/N L/N" You finally replied back with. He gave you a warm smile and shook your hand.

"Look there, lights!" Karube alerts you and points up at a huge red glow coming from afar. "There must be people there." He continues. Believing that most likely where this game is, you all make your way over to the area.
