{TOEI SENDAGAYA APARTMENT}

Y/NS POV
Alongside Karube and Arisu, we head inside the large apartment building. "There's a lot of people here, maybe one is a doctor" Karube stated. You hoped he was right.

(Chishiya: 🧍)

Once we all registered, i glanced around to see all eyes on us, I glared at Karube, he spoke so loud!!

We walked over to the small table where the phones were. walking past a girl with short hair you met eye contact with her. You didn't know what game it was yet so you didn't want to look unfriendly in any way so you just pulled a small awkward smile at her.

There were 12 of us, counting me, Arisu and Karube as well. I couldn't help but eye everyone in the room in curiosity. I didn't want to look annoying or stand out so I just tried to keep a low profile whilst doing so.

A large man who stood next to a smaller guy in a bandana, two girls who seemed a bit younger than me, an older lady and man who seemed to not know each other but they both looked so similar, a regular looking guy, some hooded man who looked about Arisu and Karubes age. Standing near me and the other two was a boy wearing a cap who also looked similar to there age and the short haired girl.

Most of the players didn't stand out much apart from the closer girl, big guy and hooded boy. He was being incredibly quiet so you began to get curious, you noticed him listening to something.

You looked down at his feet, there was a small music box charging from a plug in the wall, you glanced at Arisu who of course didn't surprise you, was also looking at the strange guy.

The phones chimed up as once again, the robotic woman's voice chimed, echoing into the room.

~Registration has closed
There are a total, of 15 participants. The game will now commence.~

"Excuse me, what is this?" A shaken voice came from beside you, it caught you off guard, but it was only the shivering boy in the cap. "I was brought here, and.. I... I.. I don't know what's going on?" He hesitated whilst continuing on.

Arisu looked past me and at the poor guy, "It's a game!" He let the boy know but before he could go on, Karube interrupted. "Shut up!" He protested "newbies will slow us down, they might hate us.. but I think it will be a good idea to do what Shibuki did."

You glanced at him in disgust, how could he say something like that? You felt bad for the newcomer so you just whispered to him, "Just try to pay attention and you should figure it out." Karube must have heard what I said because he glared at me then scoffed loudly.

The echoey voice of the robot woman, once again came on.

~Difficulty level: 5 of spades~

You looked around at everyone, trying to figure out what the difference between the cards were. You knew by now that the numbers were a difficulty level but you still weren't sure on the suits.

You glanced at the woman you smiled at earlier, she was stretching on the ground. She seems athletic but for her to need to stretch that must mean the game has something to do with fitness.

Lucky for you, before your parents passed away you used to run miles for fun. Although, you hadn't moved much for a bit, so hopefully your speed hasn't gone away in time.

"Spades?" You hear Karube question. A man in a bowler looking hat replied to him with a smirk "It means its gonna be physical, only the strong survive." You rolled your eyes at the man.

You figured this out ages ago, also physical doesn't just mean strength. It means durability and lots other things to. "I'm nirobae, nice to meet you." He held his hand out towards Karube but he just looked him up and down then turned away.

"The suit means something?" You heard Arisu question. "Exactly!!" The man chuckled at Arisu and held his hand out to him instead. You raised an eyebrow at the man, why was he being so friendly? Arisu shook his hand, "The suit on the playing card usually means what game it's gonna be." I mumbled.

The man turned his gaze to me and smiled, he began talking about each suit.

Clubs: A team game.
Diamonds: Your wits.
Hearts: Betrayal.
Spades: Physical.

"The numbers being difficultly I'm guessing." I commented. "That's right, you catch on fast!" The man nodded his head at me. "The higher is it, the harder it is." He sighed.

~Game is, Tag.
Rule: avoid whoever is IT.~

Muttering and mumbles begin to fill the room, I put my hands up to my ears to try and shut the noise out but it was no use. I hated being crowded areas, especially when theres a ton of useless chattering.

"So whose it?" Arisu whispered to me and Karube. "How the hell should we know?" Karube scolded. I rolled my eyes at him, he was getting more moody by the second. It was getting on my nerves.

~clear condition:
Discover and touch the symbol in one of the rooms in the building within the time limit. You clear the game when this games objective is filled
Time limit: 20 minutes. After the timer has ended, the bomb hidden in the building, will explode~

I looked up at Arisu who seems Incredibly nervous already. I couldn't help trying to keep calm, nothing will help me if u try to panic. Although, I couldn't help wonder what Shibuki and Chōta might be getting up to back at the mall.

~The game will now commence in two minutes~

The monochrome woman announced.

Whilst walking around the building with Arisu and Karube, I couldn't help but get ignored at this man named.. what was it? Nirobae, that was it.

"Stop following us!" Karube began to get ignored but not looking behind him. "Just figuring you guys out, Im thinking you three might be good enough to be my allies!" I scoffed at this knowing full danm well he just doesn't want to be alone.

"Lucky us." I rolled my eyes, clearly being sarcastic. The man chuckled once again, All he ever does is laugh. Why is he so happy!?

Arisu began to talk to the man, "Are you a doctor?" He shook his head, "No, I'm a real estate agent." Thinking about doctors made me start questioning if there even was a doctor here.

I had a strange feeling that maybe there was but I just shook it off and carried on walking. I learned the guy had played around 5-6 games so this wasn't his first.

I began to get slightly frustrated at this man, all he ever did was chuckle and smile. I wanted to just turn around and push him off the balcony or down the stairs! This is a game of death, we are not supposed to be having fun.

Music chimed from the phone announcing that the game will now commence.
