'Hey, hey! Arisu! Usagi! Get in!" Tatta waved towards the two figures standing with shopping bags in the middle of the road.

Tatta had picked the gorgeous red car that he had been eyeing back at the car park. Tatta stopped the car beside my two friends. "We're exposed in this thing." Usagi mentioned about the vehicle.

"It's the only one I could get starting." Tatta replied but Kuina disagrees, "You are such a liar, we watched you fall in love with it!" Arisu turns towards me in the back seat, "Y/n! You're okay!" I nodded my head, "Nothing can take me away from you guys." I wink at them.

We turned back to Kuina and Tatta was still arguing about the cat, "It was so gross the way you felt it up, said it was sexy..." The three of us just stared blankly at the two of them. "I said I liked its curves." Tatta retaliated.

I leaned back on my seat, "Dude, that's so gross, right Y/n?" Kuina tapped my foot which was resting on the top of her seat, "I didn't see nothin'." I put my hands in the air as if to say I'm innocent.

We all began to laugh at the silly bickering that was going on. Tatta turns to Arisu and Usagi once again, "Get in." He repeats with a smile. I lean forward and tap his head, "You sound like an NPC with all this repeating thing." I joked.

Tatta shuffled his hat a bit, "NPC?" He questioned. "It stands for 'non-playable character'" Arisu states as him and Usagi hop into the car and sit next to me. Tatta just turns to us in confusion, "From a video game?" He turns back forward, "ohh" he said In realisation.

I shook my head and laughed to myself then we all drove off into the darkness.

It had been a while since the car drive and we all were inside a building that the other four had stumbled upon a while ago. "The king of spades is getting closer, it's just like you said. His arena is the whole city." Arisu moved a bottle cap across the map.

We were all crouched down on the floor in the hallway, staring down at the map Arisu had created. The bottle caps were the blimps. Tatta put his hand down on the map, "That's not good. We gotta stay ahead of him, keep running." He spoke quietly.

Arisu looked up at us one by one, "There's another way we can stay off his radar" I looked over to Kuina who was playing with her hair, "What's that?"

"There's other games we can join, right?" Arisu replied. "Put yourself in their shoes for a sec." He carried on, "I wouldn't want my game interfered with." He crossed his arms.

Usagi stared down at the map, "So they have some kind of agreement, is that it? Don't interfere with each other, be polite." She stood up and paced around the room. "Each game so far has had rules. Very strict rules." The boy began to speak again. "If another game got mixed in, it would completely ruin it." I nod my head in agreement.

"But.. what if I don't want to play anymore?" Tatta sulked. I snapped my head towards his direction, I patted his shoulder. Kuina rubbed her temples in frustration, "We were forced into the King of Spades' game, like it or not. We can keep hiding, sure. But eventually, he'll find us and kill us, or our visas will run out, and then, pyeow!" She lifted up her hand and mimicked a laser.

"If we keep playing, though, we will be able to get more information. Find out from the game masters what this place is." I look over to Arisu and finished his sentence, "Or why we're here." He nodded.

"We need more answers. Or everyone else died for nothing." Everyone goes quiet, thinking over what Arisu had said. We lost many; Hatter, Momoka, Asahi, Karube, Chōta, Shibuki and maybe even Ann and Chishiya.

I look around the room, everyone is silent still until Kuina speaks up, "Why don't we vote on it?" She looks up at the tall boy, "I'm with Arisu on this." Tatta takes a breath and straightens his back, "Oh shit. All right, count me in." They all look over to me and Usagi, "You two?"

I turn to Usagi waiting for her answer first, "It's majority rules." She looks towards me then back at the others. I nod in agreement, even if me and Usagi wanted to disagree it would be three over two. "You have your answer." Usagi crouches down at the floor again with everyone else. I stay stood up.

"So which game?" I question. Arisu point towards one of the bottle caps, "The furthest on we can see is here, along the harbor. The king of Clubs." Kuina protests, "You're picking a king? You're joking?"

"A king would probably have more key information." I state as if I could read Arisus mind. "You've got guts." Kuina sighs. "Besides, club games are about teamwork. So we'll have a chance to win."

Kuina raises her head, "with this group, for sure!" She smiles and Tatta agrees. "I'm not counting you in that." Kuina jokes. Arisu turns towards Usagi who just grimly stares at the ground. Everyone goes a bit silent.

We all decide we would leave soon so we make sure that we are ready. I didn't have much to do so I just walked around. Whilst walking round a corner I saw Tatta fiddling with his hat. "Hey Ta, you alr?" I ask him.

He turns towards me in suprised at my entrance, "Sorry, I didn't mean to make you jump." I turn towards the window next to him and lean against the window sill. "What was your life like, y'know.. before you came here?" He asks quietly.

I stay staring into the window, "Lonely." I sigh. He looks down at the ground, "oh." I turn my body to look at him, "What about you?" He looks back up to me. "Well, busy I guess... Frustrating?" I raise an eyebrow, "Can you tell me about it?"

He looks down at the ground and becomes nervous, "it's okay if you don't want to!" I hold his hand to comfort him. He looks back up at me, "No, it's okay. I trust you." I give him a warm smile.

"Before I came here, I worked as an engineer... But, whilst fixing a car with my co-worker, the hold up I was doing became loose and the vehicle collapsed on him. I lost my job that day and the guy suffered severe injuries." He became more and more quieter as he spoke.

"Oh, I guess that explains your love for cars, huh.. It wasn't your fault, it was just a work accident." I held his hand tighter. It looked as if the poor boy was going to cry. I reached forward and gave him a hug. "I'm to weak for this place." He sighed. I pulled away from the hug, "That's not true, you have made it this far!"

He smiled at me and wiped his eyes so he doesn't end up crying. I sigh, "I miss my dog." Tatta raises his eyebrows, "You had a dog?" I nod, "yeah, but after all this time.. I don't remember my puppies name.. but I do miss her so much." I lean my head on my hands.

"Im really glad I came here though." He stares at me in confusion. "If we didn't make it here then, none of us would of met. You guys are like my family." I open the window and smile at the cold breeze hitting my face. He nods in agreement, "I guess so."

"We have never really spoke much before. It's nice to finally get to talk with you." I smiled at him and he smiled back. "Yeah."

I hear Kuina yell for us to come to the car if we are ready. I look towards Tatta once again, "you ready?" He nods and I walk with him to the car, forgetting that im still holding his hand.

"Well, what were you two lovers talking about?" Kuina winks. We both realise we are still holding hands. I let go of his hand, "Sorry, I didn't realise!" I apologize to him. "It's okay, I don't either!" He bows and apologizes to me as well.

"Calm it you two, it's not the end of the world." Kuina thinks for a second, "Nevermind." We laugh slightly at her joke and hop into the car to wait for Usagi and Arisu.
