Visas

You all scatter down some narrow side stairs and collapse into a messy, dark alleyway. You all take deep breaths from all the running and you wipe the sweat off of your forehead. You were never ever a fan of fire. You knew how to make fire and how to get away from it but you hated it with compassion.

[FLASHBACK]

"It's going to be okay Y/N.." your mother tried to reassure you but she couldn't help beginning to sob. Her husband, your father, his funeral was today, you didn't know if your heart could see him lying there in the casket.

The drive to the funeral home was long, awkward and quiet. Everybody was too busy mourning to even look at anyone else. You tried to cry, but you couldn't... 'Maybe this is one big dream' you thought 'Dad... Why...?'

Hours passed and it was your turn to place the rose on your father's chest. It was an open casket, you wanted to see him so bad.. even if he was dead... You step closer but your eyes widen at the body who you once could recognise as your father. The autopsy surgery your family paid for couldn't fix all the scars and burns on his suited body. His flesh was sealed but you could still see where the flames of the train engine had hit impact onto him.

That's when you finally let it out, the pain you had been holding. You dropped to your knees and sobbed loudly in front of everyone there. Nobody judged you, it was your father after all. They all missed him in some way. Your mother bent down behind you and gave you a warm hug, she sobbed into your shoulder, nothing would be the same without him...

Your mother, began to fall into a deep depression and stopped taking care of herself. She wouldn't eat, or drink. She would spend hours outside just drinking and smoking away her pain. You felt pity for that woman, you wanted to help her but there was nothing you could do without her sobbing in front of you.

"Mum! You need to take care of yourself, I know dad is gone. It hurts me to, but please... I don't want to lose you as well..." You stared at your mother waiting for her reply. She looked at you with tears in her eyes and a cigarette in hand. She dropped into the floor and cried, you were sick of her doing this... You knew it hurt but you were angry at her for not taking more care.

You didn't show happiness around her or anyone anymore. When the day came you were talking to a doctor about your mother's health he announced that she had a disease in her lungs from all the smoking and drinking. He stated that her being in a deep depression caused her health to decrease a lot too. That woman, her condition was too far in to be cured. The last months of her life were spent in a hospital bed. You stopped visiting a week before her death, she never spoke to you and you didn't want to see her die in your arms.

You felt bad. There was nothing you could do.

Being alone in your home felt depressing, you didn't want to end up like your mother, you weren't happy but you tried to keep away from being an emotional wreck. Your doctor gave you advice to get a support animal, something that I can take care of. He said this would help me take care of myself too. That's when I introduced Bo into my family.

{END OF FLASHBACK}

Y/NS POV
My flashback ended when a sudden nudge snapped me back into reality "Are you okay?" Arisu asked with a calm smile, you could tell her was frustrated and scared, but he tried to hide it away from his friends. You nodded slightly and looked over at Chōta, "is he?" Arisu looked behind him at Chōta and then back at you, he replied with a nervous smile "We are hoping it doesn't get infected, his leg.." You looked down at his leg, you didn't even notice that he had burned it that bad.

When you glanced over at his scorched leg, it brought back that painful image of your father. His skin tones and black just like Chōtas. You looked down at the floor then up to the woman who still had not mentioned her name.

She got up, catching the attention off most of us. She walked over to a table and picked up a small price of card. She turned to us and showed it, "A card?" Arisu asked. That's when the phones glowed up with another notification.

~Congratulations players! You have 3 days added to your visa, thank you for playing~

"Visa?" You heard Arisu question. That's when you noticed an old aged man far into the alley "Who's that?" Karube asked, noticing your stare at the strange man. I shrugged my shoulders and got up from sitting on the dirty floor, as did everyone else.

The man looked at us, pain clearly in his eyes "There is no winning the games, no matter how much you complete! You will never be free... I quit!" He looked down at the floor "My visa runs out today..." Just like that the same red laser who killed that high school girl shit down and went straight through the man.

You all looked at his dead body, "If the visa runs out, you die." I spoke to the four people who surround the body. "That means we have 3 days." The woman looked at me and nodded.

"My name is Saori Shibuki." The business woman added to the end of her sentence. We all nodded and then greeted her. I could tell Karube still hated her for what she did back in the game. She seemed like somebody I wouldn't get along with anyways. She has looks and a bit of brains, but trust is not something that comes in a package.

Hey guys next chapter might or might not involve the tag game, I'm thinking that Y/N should separate from the group so they don't die in the wolf and sheep (hide and seek) game. I might either make her follow Chishiya or something or she could play a game by herself and meet back up with Arisu and uragi after. 😟 So many decisions...
