For Akira it was just another normal work day, the elderly were passing by her store early to pick up the freshest carnations of the day, children could be seen running to school and teenagers taking the bus to high school. She could also see some tourists walking in front of the shop, with their sunglasses on and their cameras taking pictures of absolutely anything they found interesting, Akira smiled motivated, she had the feeling that this was going to be a good day.She opened her shop humming cheerful tunes, left the front door wide open for the breeze to cool the place, took out roses, Camellias, Primroses and Carnations; she put them in large clay pots that she had decorated with cheerful paintings of all colors. These decorated the glass window of the store making it look as lively and bright as ever. Her first customer was a high school student, who came with a goofy smile on his face, his eyes lit up and his hair tousled. Akira knew at first glance, that boy was in love, the boy approached the counter where she was standing.

- Good morning, can I please have a bouquet of your best roses? - asked the boy.

- Sure! Wait here - answered Akira and turned to the storeroom to quickly look for a pair of gardening scissors and some pieces of decorative paper she used to have to make bouquets.

When she returned to the counter she gave a short smile to her customer and with her skilled hands she started to create a beautiful paper holder for the roses, it was a kind of origami that she finally adorned with a bow. She held the arrangement out to the boy who marveled at the work and gave her a sincere smile.

- The roses are over there - Akira pointed to one of the shelves facing the window, it was full to the brim with roses of a strong and passionate red color - Take the ones you want and then bring them to me to charge you - explained the girl.

The boy neither short nor lazy walked quickly to where he had been indicated and began to choose those roses that reminded him of his beloved. Akira watched him from the box, and gave a long sigh. It could be said that she was absolutely happy, she had a job she was passionate about, a beautiful apartment and wonderful parents that she always used to see on weekends, when she traveled to their great farm to pick the flowers from their garden that her father took care of during the week; there was no way to think that something was wrong in Akira's life and in reality it was so, however, that little heart longed for a fantasy love that could only fill her days with more joy than the one she already had.

The boy returned to the cashier with the bouquet in his hands, and it was only a matter of paying before he could leave with the gift for his girl in his hands. After him, several people interested in the flowers on display entered the store, they stayed there for a while walking around the area observing and talking to each other about different topics. Akira took a breath of fresh air, she felt at peace, grateful that everything in her life was as she had always dreamed since she was a little girl, she was not ambitious at all, just her little shop and her against the world; that positive way of thinking motivated her more and more to stay behind that window for the rest of her life. The customers who had entered a few seconds before approached her in an organized fashion to ask her to make a wreath for a little girl's birthday, apparently the daughter of some couple within that group. Akira gladly agreed, making such an arrangement was complicated, it would probably take a couple of days, but the family was very enthusiastic and they would pay very well for the job.
