Akira remained silent for a few seconds, analyzing from head to toe the one who had spoken to him. He was a boy about his age, his hair was dyed white and was long up to his neck, he was dressed in a nice white jacket, sport pants and white sneakers. His gaze contained something wild in it, like a cat that was preparing to run after its prey, the boy gave her a smile as unique as his gaze with too many emotions to express. Akira was grateful that someone in the room had spoken to her without contempt but she still had her doubts about him, his mischievous aura warned her to stay away but at the same time called her like a magnet attracts metal.
- I am Chishiya - he introduced himself - I want to help you.
Chishiya held out her hand in a gesture of trust, the girl hesitated a few seconds to take it, but it didn't take long to respond since she had no other choice, the contact of their hands was revitalizing almost electric, it was then when Akira realized that his own body was frozen since the warmth in Chishiya's hand embraced his almost immediately. Akira followed the movement without complaint, neither did she let go of the boy's hand as she feared she would feel cold and lonely again.The door they crossed led them to a large swimming pool, at the edge of it right in front of the players there were five diving boards, out of curiosity Akira looked up to see the water but surprised did not find a single drop of liquid, the pool was completely empty, and not only that, its depth was ridiculously immeasurable, whoever fell into that waterless hole would die instantly.
"Couples Position yourselves in front of the diving boards!"
Commanded the robotic voice of that place causing echoes on the walls. Akira looked doubtfully at Chishiya but felt somehow relieved when she saw security in the boy's eyes, she could even make out some amusement. That made her think that it was all just a normal game, no deaths or anything like that, when she would be done playing, she would be in her tent again. As if it was a social experiment she had unfortunately been involved in. Again Chisiya carefully pushed her to the front of one of the trampolines and when the other couples did the same, the voice sounded again.
"Player 78903 Onyo Chang you will take place on the edge of the trampoline."
Everyone's gazes turned to the lady who was looking fearfully at the empty pool, she repeatedly shook her head, and pointed her index finger accusingly at her companion, the young red-haired boy.
- Take my place! - the woman demanded, "I refuse to get on that thing!
But as soon as she pronounced those words, a whistle was present in the air and a laser appeared in the room and with an extremely terrifying speed ended the life of that lady and shortly after that of the red-haired man as well. Akira could not observe the scene well, as Chishiya's body had placed itself between her and the terrifying vision. The white-haired one looked into her eyes, noticing in them the terror the girl felt. He needed to keep her calm so they could both get out of that game alive.
- Akira, breathe - warned Chishiya as the first symptom of nervousness he noticed in her was her breathing, he squeezed the hand still intertwined with hers and pronounced with complete calm - to get out of here we have to act with reason, not with fear.
The blue haired girl kept eye contact with him for a few seconds, in her stomach she could feel some strange but pleasant tickling, but the crucial situation made her concentrate on being able to breathe normally.

As soon as her name rang out both she and her playmate felt death so close that the warmth their hands transmitted suddenly seemed like the coldest of icebergs. The other couples were already occupying their perilous place, and Akira would be no exception, for after taking a long sigh she took her first steps towards the wooden board, and with all the care in the world walked to the edge. He made the mistake of looking down and immediately vertigo brought back the urge to vomit that he had had during the tragic scene in the flower store. When she was able to return her gaze to the front she noticed that Chishiya was staring at her from the safety of the room with no emotion painted on his face. Suddenly she wondered if getting together was a good idea.
"Player Jessica Lin, what is the number Pi?"
The voice asked the question and immediately after that silence fell over the place, She was the young girl sleeping on her partner's lap in the living room. Now the boy watched her from his safe place.
- I've never been good at mathematics - the girl moaned in fear, Her boyfriend who was staring at the floor with a terrified smile on his face let out a small laugh.
- It's true Jessi, math is not your forte, but don't worry, the answer is 4.
The girl smiled back, apparently relieved. However, the other participants looked at the boy with astonishment, except for Chishiya who let out an ironic sigh.
- The answer is 4 - said the girl clearly and loudly, but nothing happened for a few seconds.
- By the way Jessica, I couldn't wait to get rid of you," commented her boyfriend amid chilling laughter.
Then the wooden board where Jessica was crunched and shook under the weight of the girl and with a last scream the girl fell from the edge, it was so fast that Akira could not see the descent, he only heard the broken bones and looked at the corpse of the young woman at the bottom of that pool without water. One of the other contestants let out a cry of surprise, and unfortunately Akira could feel the tears building up in her eyes.
His head turned quickly to look at Chishiya.
And that was when she understood, that perhaps, the one who had shown himself as her ally in the beginning could condemn her.
