The screams from an out-of-control pool party woke her up.
Her eyes opened feeling sticky and dry, a pleasant warmth covered her whole body and an annoying ray of sunlight on her face forced her to open her eyes and sit up on the bed she was resting on. Akira stretched her arms up, feeling all her muscles relax with the act, causing her pleasure, rubbed her eyes with her fists and finally felt awake.
And she remembered.
She remembered the kisses, she remembered the caresses and hugs, she remembered the addictive aroma of Chishiya invading her system almost invasively. It turned out that the feeling of being loved was a thousand times better than she had imagined. After the accident in the pool, Chishiya brought her to the room where they both took turns to go to the bathroom and dry themselves as best they could, but when they were both dry, Chishiya did not waste a single second before taking her by the cheeks and drawing her in a kiss that led to another that led to another that led to a long session of caresses on the bed, almost as if together they created a safe space where nothing inside or outside of themselves could disturb them. Akira touched her lips, remembering how swollen they felt after Chishiya made them completely his.
Just thinking about the previous night, Akira could feel a big smile forming on her face, she felt as light as a cloud, she felt beautiful and strong. Without realizing it, Chishiya had become more than a companion, a fundamental support and support not to fall into madness, and she loved him. She urgently needed to see him, she wanted to show him her big smile and tell him how good she felt, she wanted to thank him and hug him as tightly as possible. So as quickly as possible, she washed her face and teeth, combed her messy hair, and ran as fast as possible out of the room, looking for a sign of the blonde among the lobby and the labyrinthine corridors.
Unfortunately, she couldn't find Chishiya anywhere, even when she searched in the gardens and the outskirts of the hotel, there was no trace of him. However, her mood did not diminish at all, and she just approached the pool area to look for some food; looking at the place with some suspicion, she took as much as she could to feel energized and immediately moved away from the area, this time heading towards the hotel wing where Heather and her brother's room was located, she wanted to talk to her and know how Harry was doing after his unfortunate drunkenness in the pool. The damn pool, Akira was beginning to believe that it was haunted or something
By chance, she passed by the entrance of the hotel and was able to observe how a tired Kuina arrived at the room, with her skin covered in ash and the ends of her beautiful hair slightly singed. Akira ran immediately towards the brunette.
- Kuina! You made it! - exclaimed Akira with a smile. - How was the game? Are you okay?
Kuina returned the smile as she brushed the dirt off her jeans. - To be honest, it was boring. It was a two of spades, and we had to run away from some rooms with strange fires or something like that.
Akira was surprised at how casually she talked about the games, as if it were just an event for children. Perhaps it was due to the experience, skill, and time that Kuina already had in the Borderland. However, it was still difficult to process, as in each game, you could die or see others die. For that reason, Akira did not understand how some people were able to get used to it.
