25. HOME

 Alpha Mortimer led us down to his dungeons and as we entered we heard "please your highness Beta Tristan is my mate.  You should be punishing her not me."  "you stand there as if you are the victim.  You rejected Beta Tristan for his brother Alpha Johnathan."  "Yes, but she only wants him to be the future Beta Female."  I rounded the corner and Zacharia looked at me and nodded "come here Future Alpha Katrina."  I walked to him as we heard her gasp "what she is a Future Alpha.  Why the hell does he get an Alpha when I got stuck with a fucking Beta."  Tristan clears his throat "that right there lets me know you haven't changed.  You are only willing to mate with me for the title.  You don't want me as your mate."  

"I already fucking told you Johnathan is going to be my mate."  We hear a roar "I HAVE ALREADY TOLD YOU I HAVE FOUND MY MATE.  PLUS THERE IS NO WAY I WOULD MATE WITH A WOLF THAT REJECTED MY BROTHER."  I looked at his Majesty "I take it since you are down here this is out of our hands."  "Yes, Future Alpha Katrina.  She deliberately tried to come between mates.  She knew you were Beta/Future Male Luna Tristan's second chance mate and she didn't care if the matting would cause you pain.  Lucky for her since you two haven't matted all she will be getting is a month in the Royal Dungeons."  I nodded my head "ok, then let's go eat.  I am starving."

Everyone laughed and we made our way to the dining room.  I could not believe that Alpha Mortimer's commanders waited for us to return to eat.  He smiled they heard how you all try to eat dinner and breakfast together every day to build a stronger bond they want the same thing.  I had all my commanding line approach me and explain what they had heard.  I had to agree with them."  Johnathan laughed "I will be implementing this as well at my pack when I return."   I looked at him "I am sorry one of your pack members will be in the Royal Dungeons."  "Don't be she had it coming.  She would not stop chasing after me and when she heard that Tain there found his second chance mate she was livid.  She wanted him to wait for her if she could not find an Alpha to mate her before her 22nd birthday which is in two years."

I shook my head "she wanted him to wait two years before he moved on."  Tristan pulled me close "yes, she was not happy when I accepted so quickly.  She couldn't wrap her mind around why I was not willing to wait while she tried to snag my brother."  Alpha Johnathan laughed "yeah, and she was pissed when she found out that I would not go near her because I had found my mate and I wouldn't bed her since I knew how she slept around."  I shook my head "damn how bad was she?"  Tristan chuckled "she would sleep with anyone of Alpha or Beta ranks that wanted her but me."  

I caressed her face "that is because you wanted to save yourself for your mate that would wear your mark and because she knew if she had sex with you it would strengthen your bond.  She didn't want to have a connection to you since it would make her wolf fight her harder.  The only reason she started chasing you now is that she realized she has lost you."  "That she did."  We all finished our meal and were sent to bed since the next day was testing.  I had faith in my commanding line.  I knew that we could succeed.

Each one of us had to fight someone equal to our rank.  This meant I ended up fighting Alpha Johnathan because Alpha Mortimer was administering my test.  Tom fought Tristan since Beta Maxwell was administering his test.  Basically, neighboring packs sent members of their commanding line to fight my commanders.  They were stunned that they all won their fight rather quickly.  Once that was done we were placed in the enchanted circle and had to build a fortifying structure without talking, using hand gestures, and mind linking.  Of course, we had no problem completing the task.  We then had to complete our daily tasks for a fake pack as if it was real.  This meant that I had to make sure the budget was balanced and that my commander's and warriors' pay was being taken care of.  While Tom had to make sure that guards were assigned properly and that there was no conflict among the ranks.  

So on and so forth.  Tristan was going crazy because as Male Luna he had to help with the books plus make sure that the female staff was well taken care of.  He also had to make sure that any projects had personnel assigned to them.  Including working with his commander to insure that the nursery and orphanage had everything they needed for the month.  It was noon when we all finished and were told that we would get the results of the paperwork around five.  We already knew that we passed the sparing round and worked together as a team without using anything other than looking at each other.  Now we needed to know if we succeeded with the day-to-day care of the pack.  I knew we would pass but I hated waiting.  

We all spent time together after packing up all our stuff.  My dad was going crazy wanting me back home since they still hadn't caught William.  He was so worried that he was going to get his hands on me and forcibly mark me.  Having Tristan and myself formally accept each other really put his protectiveness in overdrive.  I understood why he was so worried to him no one could protect me better.  The only thing keeping him at home was the fact Xavy was here.  He knew that Xavy would defend me with his life.  I really couldn't wait to tell everyone my plans for catching William.  Unfortunately, the first part of the plan requires us to return home and I know that no one is going to like any part of the plan.  Hopefully, they will all eventually give in knowing it is the only way.

Olive's parents arrived furious that their daughter was being punished for Tristan rejecting her.  It threw us for a loop when they started yelling at Tristan about him being a rank climber and rejecting his Goddess-given mate for a chosen mate.  They also let me have it for not accepting my mate even though he was an Omega.  I shook my head while Alpha Johnathan Alpha ordered them to keep quiet but it didn't work.  It wasn't until his Majesty ordered them quiet did they calm down.    We then explained everything to them.  Turns out that they were out of town for a year and didn't realize what their daughter was up to.  It was at this time we found out they had left because Olive's Uncle had passed away and her father was the last remaining living relative.

Yep, the reason Alpha Johnathan's Alpha order didn't work on him was that he is now an Alpha.  The only reason Olive was still here she wanted to finish her Senior year with her friends.  Now they regret leaving her behind since she has caused all this trouble.  I was confused as to how they knew about me turns out they were close to Former Gama Johnathan's parents and knew what he had done.  They both apologized for their daughter's behavior and they were relieved when I told them I would not hold a grudge.  

Since she was going to be in the Royal Dungeons for a month they let Alpha Johnathon they were packing up their house and would be leaving.  Johnathan released them from his pack since they had their own pack now and let them know no hard feelings.  We were all promised that when their daughter was released from the Dungeons they would not be letting her come back.  I was worried about her becoming Alpha when they stepped down but I was told that she was the youngest of her siblings.   She had an older brother that would become Alpha.  If not there were at least two other siblings before her.

At least we all knew that there was not going to be any drama once she was released.  I really hope the rehabilitation works and she makes amends with the Moon Goddess so she can get her second chance mate.  Only time will tell.  It wasn't long after we found out that yes we all passed with flying colors.  It was strange being escorted to the airport to board the private plane my dad sent us.  I was shocked when my dad told me I would be using the company's private jet since we really only use it when we travel abroad.  The best part was that Beta Lysander had packed up all of Tristan's things and had them sent to the airport where my father's security went through them with a fine toothcomb.  This just proves how worried he is for my safety.  After arriving home I was engulfed in a huge dog pile by my siblings.  

Tristan started growling and Tom had to laugh "calm down there Luna those are your brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law."  He shook his head "do they always do this?"  "Only when she has been gone for a while."  He then groaned as he was tackled by his siblings.  Tristan and Brenda started laughing when they realized that all the commanding line siblings were tackling each other.  What can I say we all love each other very much.
