39. BATTLE

We had just made it outside when the sirens went off alerting us to a breach.  I looked out as everyone ran to their positions and moved forward to be front and center.  There was no way I would be hiding while my pack and allies fought.  I wanted everyone to know that everyone in the commanding line fought.  Well except Antonia since she is a recently changed wolf and had no training.  I wasn't going to let her be a sitting duck.  I wasn't stupid and knew that Walter would go after the newly shifted wolves.

I led my allies to where the intruders were approaching from.   When we met in the clearing I had set for the battle I knew he did not realize we were ready for him.  I mind-linked Tom "Reach out and let me know who is here against their will."   Tom nodded and let everyone around us know which wolves were fighting against their will.  

Everyone nodded as I looked at them before speaking.  "Walter..."  "That is Alpha Walter to you.  You are nothing but a murdering bitch."  "Why because I realized William was not my mate and found my true mate."  "All he wanted was to be Alpha.  He should have been Alpha but my stupid father refused to recognize him since he was not conceived from my Goddess-given mate.  Like that Bitch knows anything about love."

Shaking my head "Did you ever truly give your Goddess-given mate a chance."  "Why should I when I love another?"  "Yet, you haven't changed her."  I notice a woman next to him glares at him "You said that was not possible."  "I couldn't until my true mate is dead."  "You told me she was taken care of."  "She is taken care of.  Every time we are intimate she feels it and screams in pain.  I can't reject her since she hasn't betrayed me.  If I reject her I will die.  I am hoping that the pain she feels from our intimacy will kill her.  I love watching her scream in pain."

She smirks "How do you know she is screaming in pain?"  "I have cameras set up that I watch after we are finished."  She grins "Can I watch?  I hate the fact that bitch thought she could take me from you."  "Anything for you my love."  Little did Walter know during their exchange several members of his faction had moved to our side.  This included Giselle and Paul.  We had everything planned to perfection.  

We knew thanks to Tom that not everyone was truly on Walter's side.  So we made sure there was a testing spell that would let us know if they were allies or traitors.  If they were allies they would receive their power and knowledge on how to use it instantaneously if they were traitors they would be outed.  No one crossed that shouldn't have.  As each one crossed it activated the mind-link and I asked them why they changed sides.  Several admitted that they were forced to join up or would be killed.

Some admitted they changed sides when they realized what Walter was doing to his Goddess-given mate.  I screamed "Enough, Walter you are not a recognized Alpha so you will not be given that title.  You forget the Pack that was recognized that you built for William was absorbed by my pack.  This pack is considered rogue so they are not recognized by the werewolf community.  As for the human next to you, she never should have been brought into our world.  She is not a destined mate or related to someone who was.  Stop this now and we will let you live."

"I am still mated to my Goddess-given mate and I made sure she can't reject me so I can stay strong.  Between her and my Alpha blood, I will win."  I smirk and look over my shoulder winking at the woman everyone is hiding.  "Wait until they charge."  "Yes, Future Alpha Katrina."  He is so going down. It was at that point they charged and I heard behind me "I FORMER LUNA OF THE MOONBEAM PACK MARIA MCDONALD REJECT YOU FORMER ALPHA OF THE MOONBEAM PACK WALTER MCDONALD FOR CHEATING ON YOUR GODDESS-GIVEN MATE."  

We all watched him hit the ground and his girlfriend glared at us and charged.  As soon as she crossed the line Antonia out of nowhere took her down severing her head with a sword.  I looked at her "I took up martial arts and my specialty is swords."  Laughing I walk up to Walter "Give up this foolish game or die."  He yelled "ATTACK" which all his followers did.  I instantly put up a protective wall around the battle so no one could escape and hurt the citizens not fighting or destroying our pack houses.

I watched as fire was thrown around and water drenched the ground to control the fire.  The screams and the howls were defending as one after another the opposing faction fell.  Soon we had several bended on their knees surrendering to us.  I let every being take their people to be punished.  I guess the Fae are ruthless in their punishments since the ferries and other beings under them begged me to punish them instead.  I just shook my head "That is not my place.  You betrayed your Queen.  That is her place to punish you."  I watched as each group left and led the wolves to the dungeons.

I could not believe that the war was over so quickly.  The only person missing was Walter.  We eventually found him at the edge of the shield cradling his girlfriend's body and head.  He glared up at me "You murdered her."  "No, I did not.  This was a battle."  "She was human and not prepared or able to fight supernatural creatures."  I shook my head "Then she never should have been at the battle.  I know you thought bringing her would make us surrender.  You did this not us."

We lifted him up making him release her body and dragging him to the dungeons. As for all the dead bodies we allowed their families to remove them and hold memorial services for them.  Those whose families refused to claim them we had them cremated and scattered in no man's land. 

Everyone left to go back home and with reluctance, his Majesty kept his position until I was ready.  I insisted he had to stay on the throne so I could finish High School and then College.  This helped out a lot with individuals who were still on the fence.  Yes, there were people on the fence that didn't fight for or against me.  We didn't see any reason to punish them for staying neutral.  Hell, there was a whole pack that did not participate.

Even though we didn't hold it against them we still teased them by calling them Switzerland.  The looks on everyone's faces when I walked into prom with Tristan were hilarious.  It was mainly the supernatural beings that were not at the battle because they couldn't fight.  

As for college, I studied business to help build the pack's businesses not to mention the Royal pack businesses.  Since we were trying to integrate into the human world we had all mated wolves get married.  So, of course, Tristan and I got married and it was a huge affair.  We had to televise the whole affair since we were the future King and Queen.

Yep, by this time the human world knew about all of the supernatural world.  So, yes they saw us get married.  To just complete everything all at once we were also crowned King and Queen.  Time moved on and soon members of the supernatural world and the human world were attending the same schools.  The Goddesses dream came true and the world was united into one.
