34. AWAKENING

KATRINA'S POV

Hearing William beg the Moon Goddess for forgiveness made me smile knowing he had finally realized his mistake.  I was not sure she would forgive him for going against her will and turning his back on her, but I hoped it would happen.  Even though he tried to use me with the intention of killing me once he was in power, I did not wish him to suffer for eternity.  I was happy when the Moon Goddess appeared and told him that he was forgiven but had to prove that he was remorseful for his actions. 

As for the former Beta and his son, they were still screaming that they deserved to be the next Alpha not some She-wolf Bitch.  They even hoped I would die a gruesome death.  From talking to the Moon Goddess, I knew that they would more than likely not be forgiven for their actions. As for the rest, I do not know.  They all just hung their heads while the tears fell from their eyes.  

I am not sure if they regret what they did or are just upset that they are being put to death.  Unfortunately, we ended up with two more individuals on the execution block since it was discovered that the mates of two wolves knew about what was going on and helped them as much as they could.  There was one she-wolf that did not know what her mate was doing and he released her by rejecting her before his execution. 

We did give her a chance to accept the rejection, so his death didn't affect her.  She was from William's pack and asked to be sent to her mother's home pack in Mexico.  She did not want to deal with her former pack and what might be said about her because of her mate.  Zacharia was more than willing to let her go because she didn't need to be persecuted because of her former mate.  We did wish her well and hoped she would find her second chance mate soon.  

As for the humans turned wolves, they were given a chance to make amends since they were never told were law.  They were sent to a rehabilitation center to learn everything about werewolf law  William did not tell them anything.  As for the promised mates, it was explained that the Moon Goddess chooses our mates, not the other way around.  Luckily, they were more than willing to learn all about their new life.

Now on to my commanders and mate.  It wasn't long before we found out that Tristan gained the power to foresee.  I did ask why he didn't know about William's plan to invade our pack house and found out that he didn't have that power until after he was captured.  He admitted he foresaw the Moon Goddess appearing to forgive William.  He did warn me that soon all the commanding line would have their powers.  

I knew it had to be soon since rumors were already circulating about members of other supernatural beings who were not happy about a She-wolf being in charge of the world.  Now not all the members were behind them but there were factions that joined forces to take me down.  They intend to battle each other for the title of King.  Yep, they didn't like that I was a woman.

After the day we had Tris and I decided to just go to bed after dinner.  Everyone was exhausted from the day's events.  Now don't get me wrong because of all the interrogations, the executions, and discussing the rumors we didn't have time for our training.  It was just emotional exhaustion.  Luckily Tris was more than willing to cuddle me helping me deal with the day's events.

I woke up sitting along a shoreline watching the waves crash with Ashley sitting next to me.  I knew I was in the Goddesses realm.  I waited patiently for Chandra.  I looked around and let the calmness from my surroundings engulf me.  "Katrina my child I am ready to speak with you.  I had to let Tristan and Thomas know I would have you here a while."  I look up at her and nod "I understand.  So, now what do I need to know."

"Unfortunately things are going to be moving faster than I anticipated.  I had not realized that William had contacted individuals that were skeptical about you being the Queen of the Supernatural World.  He has them believing that you want the power."  Nodding I looked up at her "I take it the individuals he had on his side were on the fence and he just pushed them over by saying that I refused to allow my father to name him Alpha.  Not to mention that I rejected him and took a chosen mate."  

She smiled at me "Exactly that is the reason you will be the best to lead the supernatural beings.  You are able to see ahead and anticipate what is to come."  "I take it that you are warning me that all of our gifts should come to us now."  "Yes, there is a huge battle ahead.  The leader of the fringe group is being led by William's father.  He is still bitter that your father would not take his advice and make your mate the Alpha.  Not to mention there was more behind Johnathan's rejection.  Yes, he planned on matting you and killing you to bring Genevive in as his Luna."  "Ok, but what else was behind his rejection."

William was Johnathan's cousin.  Just like he did with his sister he promised Johnathan a pack of his own.   He also promised Johnathan after he took you as a chosen mate he would allow Johnathan a go at you before the mating was complete so he could know what it was like to mate his true mate.  William's father was supposed to get your father to arrange a matting between you two to combine packs and become the biggest pack in the world with William as the Alpha.  When you refused to give in to William they panicked.  

William's father knew that there was a possibility while at the training camp, you might realize that you were not William's second chance mate.  He knew that the council was going to be extra cautious once you started attending the camp."  I chuckled "Which they were."  "Yep, once you read the second part of the prophecy the fae hold you will understand there was nothing William or anyone could do to keep you from Tristan."  I nod my head "So, Tristan and myself were always meant to be true mates."  

"Yes, like I told you last time we met the only reason you two were not together from the beginning is because of the deals that were made in the previous reincarnation.  Know this once you two fulfill your destiny you will be untouchable."  I nod my head "Yes, Chandra thank you." "Don't thank me child fulfilling the prophecy will make you two stronger.  Your mate bond will become unbreakable."  I nod my head "So now what are we going to do."

"Well, first Tristan will be given the power to tell the future.  This will help him better protect you from harm."  "Ok, why are you telling me this now."  She smiled "Because you are going to master them before you return."  "Will that help me in real time?"  "Yes,  everything you master with me will follow you into your awakened state."

She had me close my eyes and take deep breaths and I saw all my commanding line and Tristan excited that they had received their gifts and mastered them since I had mastered them all.  "I thought Hortencia was going to be training us."  "Yes she will train your commanding line in all the gifts but I will handle all the gifts that are not elemental."  I nod my head and wait for the next gift.  

Turns out that it was going to be supper speed and that Wilfredo was going to have that power.  The hardest part of mastering supper speed was slowing down and stopping.  Took me longer to master that than it did both the water and seeing the future combined.  It did hurt quite a bit when I ran into a tree but that did help me realize using something to stop was not the way to go.

Next came Marisol and she was given the gift of animal control the only animal we would not be able to control is werewolves and only because of our human counterpart.  That was cool since I was able to call all animals to me.  I was even able to get them to attack trees.  Just for fun, I had some of the felines that appeared take a bath in the water.  Boy were they upset when they came out of the water.  Not only are we able to control them but we are also able to hear them.  Let's just say they were not happy.

Soon I was told that Brenda would be able to heal.  Not only all beings and animals but also plant life.  So Chandra had me proactive on a few dead plants and it wasn't hard to bring them back to life.  The final gift was teleportation and that belonged to Antonia.  Now I will tell you that this is going to be fun.  I can't wait to use it to scare the crap out of Tom."  Once we were finished with the gifts for the commanding line mates Chandra looked at me.  "It is time for you to return.  When you awaken you will have a break before Hortencia meets with everyone to train them.  Use this time to work together as one."

I nodded at her as she smiled and gently kissed me on my forehead.  I woke up with Tristan sitting next to me.  "Hello, my little dew drop.  Chandra had you for two days I was starting to get worried.  What did she tell you."  Smiling I told him "first I need food and then I will tell everyone."
