I felt Duncan and another immortal walk in and I went downstairs to make sure everything was alright.

"Maria?" I heard and I turned around to see Duncan and Tommy. I laughed and hugged Tommy and he looked at me and smiled.

"What are you doing here?" I asked in a surprised manner. He laughed a little and we walked down to a bar where he stared at a woman.

"I need to understand the way to talk to a girl." I looked at him and began to laugh, where he looked at me funny and sighed.

"What?"

"You want to date Iris?" Duncan looked at me weird now and I looked at Iris and her hot brother, Rodney and sighed.

"You are talking to a woman right now, what is the difference between me and her?" He looked at Iris and then at me.

"How do you know Iris?"

"I used to come here all the time, me and her brother used to date." He sat me down at a table and Duncan followed after, confused by everything.

"I... I don't know, I have always just been so-" Iris came over and he shut down. She hit me in the arm and began to laugh. I got up and hugged her, to which Rodney looked over and spotted me. I smiled and he nodded and continued to sit there and pout.

"How have you been, Maria, it has been years. What can I get you and your friends, it is on the house." I looked at them and gave Tommy a thumbs up.

"Order whatever you guys want, I am going to go talk to Rodney really quick." She pointed at him and I nodded, walking over to him. He pretended I wasn't there and I had never felt so awkward. I sighed and sat finally and turned my whole body to him.

"Rodney... can we talk? I am not here to talk to you, but I felt I should. Are you better now?" He looked at me and something in my face instantly made him sad. I hugged him and he hugged me. He shook his head and I began to feel it was all my fault, even though he was like that before I knew him.

"Can I help you?"

"I don't think there is any helping me now, Maria. I tried to hold back the alcohol when I was with you, but I couldn't and-" I shushed him and held him there. He sighed, which came out shaky and began to relax.

"Is that your new boyfriend?" Rodney asked and looked at Duncan. I laughed and shook my head as he let go of me.

"Duncan used to be, but hasn't for a long time. We are just friends." He nodded and I grabbed his hands.

"I have a boyfriend though, I think you would like him. He unfortunately isn't old enough to drink, so that might be a problem, but-" Rodney began to laugh and I smiled.

"Where did you go?" He asked and I began to think back to it.

"I had a... a medical emergency and I had to move away." That was a lie, I moved away for his safety. I was being hunted down by an immortal.

"Oh, are you better now?" I nodded and his face lit up, which made me smile. I hugged him again and Duncan tugged on my shirt.

"Oh, sorry, this is Duncan, Duncan, this is Rodney." They shook hands and I looked over to see Tommy talking with Iris.

"It isn't going as great as it looks," Duncan whispered and handed me a drink. I looked up at him and looked at Rodney.

"What is it?" I asked and Rodney began to laugh.

"I have no idea," he said and I giggled and chugged it. I stared at the cup and didn't know what the Hell I just drank. Iris walked over and began to laugh.
